All models have the 10" gauge screen display and 12.3" infotainment screen. None have the heads-up display. I don't understand that. The Pilot has it. Maybe they will add it the next year.

Still waiting on the reveal of non Trailsport versions. But yeah, it looks pretty good.
It has just three versions. RTL, Trailsport and Trailsport Elite.
According to one of the early reviewers, Honda says it's happy to sell anyone a Pilot if they want a standalone EX-L or Elite branded SUV. The Passport doesn't have these options anymore.

I saw (or heard) that as well, but it wasn't 100% clear to me if that was just for the Trailsport line or the Passport line in general.

From the horse's mouth. 👇

"the fourth-generation Passport will arrive early next year in three very well-equipped and capable trim levels: RTL, TrailSport and TrailSport Elite."

The Trailsport versions don’t affect much in terms of drivability and stuff. It’s not lifted more than then current PP and the tires are pretty mild that they don’t make much noise. Apart from cosmetic differences and some skid plating it’s not that much different from none Trailsport versions.

True but overall its a huge improvement over the current passport as a standard vehicle imo!

Overall the 2026 Passport looks to be a welcome improvement!

The interior layout is similar, taking cues from the other modern Honda models. More room in this already roomy cabin is not a bad thing, the larger lower storage under the deck in the back is a big plus. I'm not a fan of the Trailsport logo on the dash, but at least it's bas relief, not painted or plastic. Seems they have found plenty of places to remind us it's a Trailsport!

My first impression of the exterior in the videos was unfortunately "brick like", it somehow reminded me of my father's International, or gasp, the Pilot. I expect in person especially sitting next to the Pilot that won't be the case. Hopefully.

The hood scoop is interesting but I'm unsure how in the world we will keep mud and debris out of it. Maybe it's fake, a place for a light bar?

Getting rid of the plastic shark fin is a plus. Sometimes we return to doing things the way they were done in the past.

I want a good look at the "sunken valve stems" before I'm on board with that. What's the clearance around the stem? Any extra challenges mounting tires?

I don't want any machined wheels, whether tinted or not. Many of us have certain preferences for tires. Maybe the Generals will be fine for some folks.

Any improvement to I-VTM4 has got to be a plus, in my 2021 Elite I've had good results in light snow and gravel, and mixed and sometimes unpredictable results in rain and muddy trails.

Finally a front camera on the center display!! Once you have owned a vehicle with this, any one that doesn't seems lacking. The trail aside, a front facing camera is useful every day, for parking, and for pulling in the garage especially if you have children or pets.
I hope Honda won't reserve this feature for only the sixty grand Elite, it's an opportunity for Honda to differentiate itself and stand above some of the competition.

The 6/DOHC/10 speed has finally arrived in all 2026 Passports! It's proving to be reliable, and may even help with the current "bottom of the barrel" MPG, while providing more power.

Looks like much of what we have wished for!

So the RTL level is not a Trailsport bassed on that article, and will come with all season tires. However may not be equipped with the better options so it may seem (at least for the first year).

I've watched several videos on the new Passport and I have to say Honda did an outstanding job on this vehicle, its really nice.

What seems to be a miss 'to me' is in the trim levels. I'm not seeing the point in a Trailsport Elite, why pack luxury in a vehicle the owner plans to beat up? I would think that the RTL should get the Elite, for people who want a little luxury built into a SUV but want to save $8000 over an Acura. This segment of driver doesn't plan to go off road but wants to get thru the snow and haul an occasional thing in the back. I'm one owner that buys my vehicles loaded and I would not get a Trailsport Elite because I don't want those tires and wheels and I don't need a trail camera or skid plates. Oh, and although I understand the non exposed exhaust tips for off road use, that's a big miss for me as well.

Again, it is indeed nice but not the vehicle for me. It's no longer the "everything I need and nothing I don't" SUV that led me to buy my 2025 Black Edition. To each his or her own, this is just my opinion.

Some good points!

Someone on this forum once said something like " without cameras it isn't a trail anything ".

10k more to get a better radio, a heated steering wheel and cameras seems steep.

I still think it will be a win, will be well received and we'll sell as many of them as we are willing to make!

I agree it will be a hit.

For me the availability of the Trailsport Elite is one of the biggest selling points. I need AWD and some off-road capability. I also need ventilated seats (I live Vegas) and want the best stereo available. The fact you can't get these "luxury" items in off-road oriented trims of some other makes like Subaru have kept me from buying.

I always thought it was ironic the manufactures show the vehicles ripping through the desert southwest in 100 degree plus weather but won't put ventilated seats in.

Understood, it works for you.
