I’ve had my Passport AWD for 5 days and am averaging 18mpg in mixed driving. A little lower than expected. Is this the norm amongst Passport owners ?
Good for you! Many folks on this forum don't believe MPG from the Passport can be better than what the EPA states.Well ... happy with the ECO, I'm averaging almost 26 on the milk and bread runs but on my last little trip on 90% 2 lane roads of over 200 miles it averaged 30.5.....
That’s good .. we live in the city, typical avg driving around town is 24 with Econ, 23 without. I was ok with 28 MPG on the highway at 72-73 MPH.That maybe the of a trip reading.... that was the mileage for a 131.6 miles..... I average almost 26 for near 4000 miles does that count? but since I now use ECO I'm getting near 30, so the 26 will go up....... just a test and my 26 average includes pulling a trailer once in a while........
Gotcha. Speed limit is 70 on the highway here and most of the way to MI from here.I don't think you will see that kind of speed in this state, 55 and 65 on4 lanes
"reality set in" What does that mean? You didn't know how to determine MPG's?I remember getting really high mileage around Traverse city area when we were up the on vacation years ago in my Outback with 4 people in the car . Then when we headed home reality set in... The PP. does better on the open road...
That’s great ! I like the sound of that gas mileage! But … typically we drive our cars until they can’t 🤣 and I don’t wanna pay to replace a hybrid battery. My Passport gets about 24 to 26 depending on how much highway driving is done which I think is excellent for it's weight, shape and height. In June I got a RAV4 gas for the bride and was impressed with it and my Accord was overdue for some expensive repairs so I traded it in. I wanted another gas RAV4 but only the hybrid was available. Holy cow, this is the future. I've done about 170 miles and averaging about 45 mpg. I've always been about Honda silky smooth V6's but these numbers are beyond outstanding. Let's see what they are with the winter and highway drives but they've got to hybrid the Passport.
I wonder if that’s been a common occurrence? The only thing I’ve noticed with my mileage is that ever since I did my first oil change (4weeks ago), my mileage has gone down 2-3 mpg ? I was averaging 25-26, now I’m seeing 22-23.
I used the recommended viscosity by Mobil 1 and have checked the level numerous times which is spot on, I’ve thought about running to the Honda dealer and buying 6 quarts of “Honda” oil and see if it goes back up.
same here , the best I had was a trip to Florida from St Louis averaged 25mpg with econ mode & start-stop engaged...My AWD Elite is about 21 MPG so far. About 2/3 city and 1/3 highway miles, finishing up first tank, so will probably improve.
I plan on changing the oil to see if the mileage increase, I’ll post my findings hereI wonder if that’s been a common occurrence?
