I'm assuming, they make nothing on SiriusXM but make some change of each HD radio?

I too, have SiriusXM on my vehicle and love it and very little propaganda.
I do know people who pay the subscription for satellite radio love it as well and they too hate all the propaganda on regular radio.

I do not know anyone who has HD radio to ask, how they feel about it?

I did one full tank on Eco mode and just completed 2nd refill with normal mode. Haven’t attached my trailer yet so have not tried towing mode yet. Mileage definitely lower with normal mode. I am hoping engine break-in will see it improve.
Hope so too. Please let us know in a few months. The MPG in my 2021 never did change much, but at least it's consistent. You don't have to "drive a certain way" because it really doesn't make much difference overall.

Hard to do if if SiriusXM isn't even built into the car. You have to stream from a smartphone
Yea, via AA/ CarPlay & also to any Bluetooth speaker. So you could Bluetooth audio it in the car too. That has a couple of advantages and disadvantages. All the radio channels plus more channels. Sirius doesn't have the money to launch any more satellites, the last launch they tried failed. They are moving on...

I had a 2006 Jeep that I purchased in December 2005 and it had Sirius radio, that was my first exposure to the service and I used it for 4-5 years afterwards consistently. And then came the uprise of the smartphone, satellite radio was innovative and novel in the mid to-late 2000's but all media is moving towards streaming and has been for at least a decade now. Satellite radio still has its niche but it has become passe.

Instead of investing in a satellite radio add-on for your vehicle I would recommend simply finding out what cellular service provider offers the best service coverage for your area as well as areas you might be traveling into and get the most powerful smartphone. Doing so will help you better be able to stream SiriusXM service as well as whatever else you want to listen to in your vehicle. I think anyone would get far more out of that than limiting themselves to set up exclusively used for satellite radio alone.

I was always to some degree disappointed in the sound quality though that had as much to do with the 5 dollar DAC chips that were popular with auto makers as with the satellite signal compression.
Had at least a couple of vehicles where good old fashioned FM sounded way better!

I test drove the 2026 Passport Trailsport yesterday. The sales guy said it was the Elite model, I'm not really sure if this was true. I own a 2024 that's less than 9 months old, I wish I'd known about the 2026 at the time, I would have waited.

I liked the vehicle a lot. The google automotive infotainment system is far superior to the old software, and the bigger screen is a definite upgrade. Having the hitch included is added value.

But I have a few questions the sales guy couldn't answer.

1. is the 10 speed transmission a ZF or is it a honda design/build?
2. I found no evidence of Sirius/XM satellite radio being installed, does anyone know what the status of that is? The sales guy was also stumped.
3. Is the transmission cooler installed (or even needed) to tow 5000 lbs? On my 2024 towing is limited to 3500 without adding the cooler, there's no mention of a cooler on the 2026?

They've eliminated the buttons in the far rear that allow you to put down the rear seats while standing at the back. You have to put down whatever you're trying to get in there and walk around to the side to put the seatback down to get more length.

The little bag hooks it had before are now hangers that protrude, I'm not sure I like that, they're very small and I think will tend to snag stuff.

I'm considering moving to the 2026 because I really dislike to 2024 infotainment software and the teeny screen, but I can live with it another year until they figure out some of these details.

I'm gonna go to a different dealer today and try to get some better answers.
I'm trying to decide between the 25 and the 26. Is the ride, way it drives, seat comfort and performance different enough and worth the big increase in price and no discount?

Both model years are excellent vehicles and I suppose it depends on which specific trim you want. What is your priority? Do you want the newest thing and you are willing to pay for it or to save money?

I have a 2021 Passport Elite and it has been an excellent vehicle which I might keep for a long time because it truly has been so good and it's paid off. There are some things about the 2026 model that I truly love and if I needed a replacement vehicle that is what I would go with. That being said if I traded in my current vehicle on a new equivalent 2026 model the difference would be about $30,000 after trade and I am not willing to pay that price just to get into a new 2026 model at this time. I will probably wait a few years to trade.

Had to take my wife's 2021 Touring in for service today so I kicked the tires on a new '26 Trailsport. Didn't drive it (that's how they get ya) but did have some impressions from poking around for a bit:
  • Agree w/ others on the new armrest being much better than the ratcheting minivan versions
  • Very clean interior layout, enough physical controls but also a nice modern screen
  • Interior materials seem on par or slightly better than outgoing model
  • More knee space, I'm tall and find my knees brushing the console sides in my wife's car
  • 2nd row seems a bit less roomy than outgoing model but splitting hairs
  • No more sliding / reclining second row
  • No one-touch 2nd row drop down button in the cargo area, seems like a cost-cutting thing
  • Taller liftgate max height, no more bumping my head every time
  • Not a noticeably bigger footprint on the outside which is nice
  • Prices are what they are, would probably be paying high $40s for what cost us low $40s in 2021
Overall, this would be in the consideration set if we were shopping today; the only drawback seems to be that it hasn't gained power but has gotten thirstier, and obviously the price.

I prefer OEM alloy wheels. I dislike many aftermarket wheels because Honda does have their OEM wheel designed and built to a high standard - resulting in a more consistent load force balance. However some Honda product lines (Ridgeline & PP) could be more attractive than they currently are with an inch or two more diameter wheel installed from the factory imho.
I would prefer a redesign of the wheel wells/fenders like Toyota did with the 4Runner and Tacoma, so Honda can join that more aggressive off road look. That and put bigger tires on the OEM wheels, or Black Rhino wheels. BR has a slightly different offset as well. Would look nicer with better styling of the vehicle.

This is another great review and solidified reasons why I am keeping my '23. Until Honda comes out with something worth my money, I'm absolutely content with my '23. Love it.

I took the ‘26 Elite for a quick test drive the other day when getting maintenance on my ‘19 Passport. Few initial impressions. Love the more rugged body style - been waiting for years for that! Seats are a lot more comfortable than my ‘19 - subjective I know. Even with just a slightly bigger footprint, it feels roomier inside. Few drawbacks for me personally are for $55000ish you don’t get Hondalink (have to swamp out rear view mirror) and no buttons in cargo area to fold 2nd row down. Other thing I noticed is it feels like you are sitting on the floor so you get a lot more hood view. My ‘19 you sit way up and above the hood not level with it. So I raised the seat which helped a little but then I couldn‘t reach the center console arm rest. I’m 5’7 so probably is fine for taller people. Didn’t spend a ton of time going over everything as I knew I wasn’t buying right now, but wanted to get a feel for the new design.

Yep, Honda took away the rear seat sliding adjustment, recline, and the buttons. Seats manually fold down.

I hated the large 20"ers . They prone to fail you hit a pothole. Ride is hard and they are expensive to replace. Give me 18"ers any day on a suv
Ditto. The big wheel/ tiny sidewall perplexes me? Less rubber but the tire companies charge a premium for them. Heck I love the 16's on my 2005.

In regards to Sirrius/XM, why would you want it built in? My wife has a subscription for her car - and I have the app on my phone so I can stream it via bluetooth (using the same account - no added fee) in any car I'm driving or a bluetoothe speaker in the house/garage. Plus, the app allows you to pause playback of some channels - which isn't an option in my wife's car that has it built in.
Because the app is not as easy to use when driving. And I've not seen a built in radio which cannot pause playback. My 24 does, and it buffers the contents on all of the presets so I can hop from channel to channel and get like the last hour's of content.

Anyone have issue with getting in and out of vehicle ? My left foot hits the pillar when stepping out from rear and front seats .
I have to move my foot back to get out
Also - height - seems awkward height to step in and out as well ?
