Your explanation makes sense. I guess I was focused more on the S = sport for sporty/recreational use cases such as camping, use on dirt roads, etc. that the Passport supports vs just use as a more versatile on-road vehicle with AWD.Some people would argue that a SUV is suppose to be “body on frame” , which I use to think too.
In my opinion SUV stands for
S= sport “paddle shifters, some what fast, Cool wheels”
U= utility “Lots of cargo area, 5,000lbs towing capacity, top of the line AWD”
V= vehicle “ gets 5 people from point A to point B in comfort”
That is my reasoning for choosing the Passport as a SUV..
