If so, what do you tow? and do you have any other related details or stories?

Cheers

MY 1985 Bonair BA1300. The wife and I, plus pup had vacation plans pre-Covid that included rock climbing and camping in Tennessie and Kentucky. We love RRG in KY, and were excited about exploring the Obed and Clear Creek in TN. The trailer weights about 1500 LBS loaded. I picked it up 8 years ago on Kijiji, and what a find. She's all original except for the DIY hubcaps that match my Element rims and now my Passport. I cant wait for the day when things open back up again and we can plan our next vacation.

I planned to tow a couple of motorcycles on a 6x10 trailer I already had, but after trading in my Tacoma for the Passport, I realized I needed a new trailer. I towed the empty 6x10 when I sold it and it actually didn't feel to bad trailing behind the PP, but that was empty. One bike is 865 and the other is 675, so that would have made the tongue weight over 300lbs and tow weight now over 3800lbs...that seemed to be pushing it for me.

Ordered a Stinger motorcycle trailer (320lbs) to only tow one at a time...don't think it'll be a problem now.

Sounds great, me too, I'm ready to hit our mountains again.

OFF TOPIC: Can you please explain exactly how you posted your photos? (including the sizes)
These 3 pics do show, unlike many others on this site.
We tow a 2013 Aliner with our Passport. Weight is about 1700# if I recall...so super light weight and easy to tow. That said, it was at the top of what our Forester could tow, so the added capacity with the Honda is appreciated. Gas mileage while towing has been incredible easily average over 20 mpg over the 7,000+ miles we have towed over the last year...some tanks as high as 24. Loaded. And towing.

Of note, the 9sp transmission has been fantastic for towing. Sport mode holds gears nicely and downshifts promptly, and the paddle shifters allow my to hold gears on long downhills. Perfect.

We rented a Coachmen Clipper 17CBH through Outdoorsy and dragged it on a 2000 mile loop from Portland to Glacier Natl Park, Yellowstone, down to te Tetons, to Twin Falls, and back. The travel trailer comes in a 3000 lbs empty and about 21' long and we probably had 300 lbs of stuff in it (only 1/4 of a tank of fresh for those "just in case" moments). Route took us up the Continental Divide a few times (8000 ft elevation) and Teton Pass, and the Passport behaved like a champ. No need for a WDH, but did put in an electric brake controller. Averaged 9.7 mpg on the trip, but with that kind of elevation climb and the wild west 75+ mph speed limits, that really isn't too bad!

We did a similar trip back in Aug/Sep 2020 where we rented a NuCamp Tab400 through RVShare. Drove out from the Twin Cities (MN) to Glacier NP for a couple days then circled around past Kootenai Falls, Coeur d'Alene, down through OR along the Snake River, jumped over into ID, back up through the Nez Pierce Clearwater National Forest, stopped in Butte, and back through Medora ND for a couple nights at Teddy Roosevelt NP before heading home. All in all 12 days/11 nights on the road, ~3870 miles, 13.4mpg average. Awesome trip - can't wait to do it again! Planning to spend more time out at Glacier NP next time.

I towed my Boy Scout Troop Trailer to our resident Council camp back in November. I had installed spring rubbers which were posted here on the forum before I pulled the trailer. Passport did a great job. Back end never sagged.
I just got the 21 Sport and had the dealer install the OEM hitch - I will be towing a 2002 Maritime Skiff about #2800 on a 2017 Load rite aluminuim 5star trailer
I have not tried it yet as the PP only has 100 miles on it. I will only tow it about 12 miles @ 30mph-40mph max
