When I practice "touchless" it just gets dirtier...
yeah i've also yet to find a touchless that does well. there's an ok one in Queens, but the issue isn't solved by just a lack of bristles, they use the same towels to dry multiple cars which then i think scratches the paint. alas, one day ill be able to wash my car in a driveway

I like the bay type ones that has the machine moving back and forth. My car gets dirty because I drive up to the mountains a lot.

We get about 80” a year here!!! 😲

And I have a friend in LA who has a car wash membership and he goes at least every other day, even if it’s raining! I wish we had a decent car wash here with a membership. I did wash mine last week since we had a week of dry weather,

The wife and I have a car wash membership, $50 a Month unlimited washes with their top of the line wash. We go at least twice a week. Non membership price is $18 per wash, no brainer for us.

My gosh, I'm odd man out here when it comes to washing my own vehicle at home!! For the price of a little soap, water, chamois and wax, I can do a much better job than any car wash place or detailer.

It's a great warmup to my old body to start the morning or end the day. I'm one of those guys who washes/waxes their vehicles when I know it's going to rain.

Sounds good unless yo live in ND. Hard to hand wash when it is below freezing:mad:. Unless you have a heated garage with floor drain (dang I don't1). So, membership carwash is an excellent idea for us Northerners if yo like a clean vehicle.

Water cost more than gold in Oregon where it rains 80 inches a year go figure! So I paid 10 bucks at the squirt and spray and let them pay the water bill, plus it’s recycled.

Water is cheap where I live in So Cal. And I enjoy doing my own cleaning, maintaining and wrenching on all my vehicles. It's extremely rare for me to use anything other than what I have at home.

I cannot imagine living in a rust belt state and keeping a nice vehicle clean during the winter months. I personally would have a junk spare vehicle for the winter months.

The past two years I have been using this. It is amazing, I like in NYC where the put enough salt that they could plow it. It’s ridiculous how much salt they put down the pass few years. I have couple of those pump sprayers and as soon as we get a warm day after they salt i spray the Saltsgone on. It works amazingly, it takes the salt right off and it leaves a rust preventive behind.
You deluxe it so a gallon makes a lot. I don’t recommend many products, this stuff works.

Living in the PNW you definitely schedule your washes, but having a white PP keeps me from washing as often as my wife’s charcoal TLX. She couldn’t decide between charcoal or white, but after two late night trips to the Acura dealer to a avoid salesman she went charcoal which I’m glad she did, didn’t want two white cars.
