So, I am looking at the 22's and I see the wheel/tire option on the Elite offer the HPD 18 inch Bronze Alloy Wheels w/Tires for $ 2402.00. The exact same combo is offered on the 22 PP Trailsport model for $ 1602.00. Ah, $800.00 more? WTF? And what does Honda do with the 20" wheels they removed? Throw them in the cargo space for me? No, they disappear, right? Why the F do we have to pay that outrageous price for a slight upgrade. No way Honda. Figyre out a better option for we buyers!

PP Tailsport bronze wheels $1632 is just the wheels as the tires are the same size.
Elite bronze wheels price is $1996 for the 20 inch wheels and $2402 for the 18 inch with tires.
I actually don't know what they do with the original wheels. However, OEM wheels are very expensive. They can go for $600-800 a pop.

That makes a bit more cents to me, but if I take the 4 wheels and tires with me i can sell Craigslist and almost break even?

Buying a new vehicle you don't have much control over, however you could get a used vehicle and flip the OEM wheels and buy some wheels you really like. That's what most of us do.

I really don't know. I personally don't think you are getting the stock wheels back because it's only $400 per wheel for the bonze which is probably about the price difference considering the cost of making these bronze wheels by Honda is probably going to be over $1000 a pop judging by how few people get them.
You can always look for after market option and probably end up with better looking wheel anyway.

I’m pretty sure you get to keep the original wheels as you paid for them. And yes you could sell them and make some money back.
Depending on the price he is paying is the full amount or actual difference.
$1600 for 4 wheels from Honda is too cheap IMO. I bet it's the difference he is paying.
Most OEM wheels go between $600-1000 at OEM's price because of the liability they have.

I was mad that when I bought my trailsport I couldn’t get the black wheels swapped off of the hfp model which was the same color etc but had the black wheels on it Honda wasn’t willing to switch them and kind of forced me to take the alloy ones which I ended up buying a new set of wheels and tires. That costs me half of what the dealer would’ve wanted minus the tires!, what a rip off Honda has to do better!,,

My wife and I said the SAME thing…..seems like real profiteering there.

(This is probably obvious, but) If you swap tires at the dealer, I guess you could tell them you want to keep your take-offs, which if you are paying full price, you should be able to. However, dealers are typically greedy and will hope to resell them at full price, sense they are brand new.

But if you have different rims/tires from the factory and there are no take-offs, then that's not possible...
