I made two cargo racks out of an aluminum trailer tail gate. This is the larger of the two. Had to add some plywood to help support the tiller and snow blower.

My Weight Safe ball hitch. The only hitch I have is on the 3/4 ton PU. If I ever add a receiver to the Passport I will put a Weight Safe 4" drop ball hitch on it.

Not sure about Ohio, but I've traveled many miles in Utah and Colorado with my rear plate obstructed by motorcycles, bicycles and gear and have never been pulled over for it.

Most cops are prolly happy to see a family getting out and doing something fun together.

I've never been cited, but I know others who have been. There are a couple cleveland suburbs that are known to pull drivers over. I’m gonna keep rolling.

I have a Spare Bumper on my hitch.

It uses compression rubbers to absorb shock during impact and thereby reducing whiplash to occupants in the vehicle if hit in the rear. Their FB page has plenty of pictures of accidents where the hitch protected the vehicle it is attached to.

This was actually one of the very firsts things I got for my passport. Pics below before the wife littered it with stickers
