Been on vacation in Florida and got to drive the OBP baby, finally. While there, got the front windows tinted and today, got the owners and navi manuals in the mail.

Nice, tomorrow I'll be getting my front end (except the rough black plastic parts), hood, fenders and door handle cut-outs all fitted with XPEL...!
What's the cost on that for what you are doing? I found an installer near me for XPEL.

Updated the navigation from 2018.10 to 2019.01. Took less than 20 minutes once plugged into the system. Tomorrow going to get a quote for the XPEL protection film. Roof cross bars and rear bumper protector arrive on Monday from H&A .

I was able to pop the cover off with a thin flat head screwdriver. Takes a bit of force. There are 2 posts. One comes out with wedging the screwdriver in at the end and lifting up. Then sliding the cover toward the back to the vehicle. No damage thankfully.

They probably use those prices as a loss leader and large volume keeps the cash flow going and make up the profit somewhere else. Other dealers do the same.

Got the PP back from having XPEL protection installed. Highway package included all forward facing painted or piano black surfaces and 24" on the hood. Also headlights, turn signals, fog lights and door handle cups. It looks great! Highly recommend Patriot Auto Detail for those in the DC/NoVA area!

Was it hard to get off? I've wanted to do this. Also, how do you get the dealership labeling off?
Thanks.
For getting labels off, this thing is the best.

What did I do to the PP today?
-changed out the interior, reverse and rear turn signal lamps to LED (very easy and wow are they bright!)
-installed the cup holder hero kit
-changed the winter floor mats to summer (I know, a little late:))
All before it hits 100 degrees here in the DC area.

Why remove the all weather mats?

I had them in my CRV and now the passport, and live in So Cal., no rain or snow for months! But love how they keep all the dirt and pebbles contained for a quick clean up!
Habit, I guess. With the salt and crud from winter, here in VA and previously in Wisconsin and Minnesota, I clean them up and put them away for next winter. Otherwise, they look grungy. I do the same with the OEM carpet mats in the winter. Clean them up and put them away until spring.

That may change when we move back to FL next spring for my final few years in the Army and retire!

Cheers!

Very cool. Did you just lay it out and heat then trim? Are there some instructions?

Thanks! We dislike the piano black inside as it reflects sunlight. Is it matte or is the outer layer clear and reflective?

Today I put the carbon fiber vinyl wrap on the center console. The console was easy to disassemble. The vinyl wrap was not as easy to work with as I thought. A heat gun helped. It took three tries to get it done, fortunately I had bought enough material.

Thanks a lot scooter, that looks awesome and is going to cost me some money! I took a picture of it with my cell phone and will be visiting the guy who did my clear bra to see if they can do it for a reasonable price...

Cheers!
Thanks! I'm sure someone who has the expertise could do it quickly. Took me about 2 hours total. $17 for a roll of the Vvivid vinyl wrap from Amazon. Skol!
