Service Bulletin 21-012 is regarding a warranty extension for specific affected vehicles. A loose connection in the MOST bus network is causing popping or crackling from speakers OR no sound from audio. May also see a Network Loss message and/or display issues.
When I called dealer to ask about this (my 2020 passport sporadic popping noises from speakers), they knew about it and had the replacement connectors in stock. Took several hours to replace, but seems to have worked.

As I wrote in a post further down...the original (purchase) dealer I brought my car to the first time followed the TSB and installed the new parts...it worked for about 14 months. Last week it started up again. Took it to a closer Honda dealer and the master mechanic there along with the service manager called Honda to find out the next step in this process. According to the mechanic I spoke with, this issue may go beyond the connector but in the wiring harness itself. Honda told them to replace my entire dash wiring harness and send the defective one from my car to them. Of course the wiring harness is on back order and wont be in for a while...but I did get my car back until it comes in. Interesting info...the computer in the car recorded the time and day that the issue happened again...talk about big brother :) Mine is a late 2019 build....2020 model.
