My husband hates the adaptive cruise control and we have been trying to switch it over to standard cruise control, but it doesn't seem to work. As I understand it, it is as simple as pressing and holding the interval button. That isn't working, however. Even though we hold the button for more than 1 second, it still only scrolls through the distance intervals and doesn't change over to standard. Has anyone else experienced this? Has anyone successfully switched from adaptive to standard cruise control?

I think I read you have to press that CC button like twice to get out of ACC mode. Should be in your manual. There may be a post here if you search. I've used it before but kinda forgot how I got it there. I do prefer that mode too.

I don’t disagree with you that the ACC is very rough and unrefined. I have mentioned in a different thread that the ACC in my new F-150 is light years superior to my Passport. I complained to the service manager at my dealership and he said they get numerous complaints about this. He said there was nothing they could/would do about it. Hopefully a update may address this in the future.

Why don't you call the service dept at your Honda dealer.

:(

Automobile forums are for people to ask questions and learn about their vehicles and how to do certain things.

Many times it is not only easier but also more informative than talking to the dealer who many times says working as designed or they have never seen that problem before.

I've been using standard cruise control for a few highway trips now and I find it sluggish. My style is to use the cruise without the gas for long highway stretches. I could be passing a truck on an uphill and press the button to give it an extra mile per hour or so and nothing really happens. It takes a while to build. On my Accord it was instant so I had a much better idea of how fast I was going. This PP has power but it's not easy to find.
