Transmission surge around 30mph

I now have 27k miles on my 2019 Passport Elite and I have had this surging issue for about 7k miles. I started thinking about the timing and I never had the problem until the required rear differential fluid change. Coincidence?
Anyone else notice this?

I had the surge once but was between gears going down hill. Was scary. I have had issues going from low to second gear. Not very smooth. But then I did the current recall, at fluid and rear differential fluid and now my gears are smooth. Not sure if it was the recall or the at transmission fluid. But the rear differential fluid I believe would not be the cause.

My issue is when it is downshifting. I've also noticed hesitation now when I step on the gas that I never had before. When I got my last oil change, I mentioned it to the service tech, and he said "that's never a good sign with these transmissions, you need to get the scheduled soon". I'm trying to hold off a couple more weeks til I have to travel so I can leave it with them for several days if needed.
Could your problem be related to this service bulletin?

It's during a downshift though
Same problem. Dealership did a software update and I thought it briefly helped, but my transmission issue is bad again.

Our 2020 Ridgeline’s nine speed transmission is smooth though.
