Hi everyone!!

I'm planning to purchase a receiver lock for my utility trailer since the trailers can be easily stolen.
Needless to say, there are numerous types of locks ranging in price from relatively cheap to several hundred dollars.

I've discovered several commonly sold receiver locks can be easily defeated within a few minutes with minimal effort.
Thus far, the Fort Knox Curt Lock seems to be a relatively inexpensive option while the trailer isn't in use, but it can't secure the trailer to the vehicle.

Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions?

This would possibly be an option, but it is more expensive. Hard to steal a trailer if there is no ball receiver when the trailer isn't being used.

Wouldn't work for mine. The trailer is an A frame type and the coupler isn't removable.

I "briefly" looked at the Proven Industries lock a few days ago but didn't read thru the entire description.
Now that I have, I'm leaning more toward the 2178 with the SS puck lock. I was surprised to see the SS lock has a Medeco core so that pretty much seals the deal.

I'm also thinking about getting the HH200 receiver hitch. Getting both at the same time with the locks all keyed the same would be a plus.
