Hey all!

I am an engineer by trade and was thinking of making my own sidesteps/running boards or other accessories. Are there dimensions available for the hole patterns and clearances? Has anyone else done this before? I am finding there just isn't a huge selection of options available for the passport.

I'm totally with you! I thought about doing the same thing. Cad work should not take long. If you used thicker material for the brackets you could have better ground clearance. You just need a good welder. I'm just a rookie stick welder ☺, that's when i said, screw it, I'll just buy them.

When I have some spare time , I don't mind getting dimensions and mic some stuff for you. And no, I'm not going someone else's work. I think there is a lot of room for improvement.
That would be great! At least if you can get dimensions I could work up some ideas...and most likely have it be cheaper 😂. We also have a powder coat booth at work so can make it shine

While I could be wrong, it almost looks like these follow a standard mounting pattern. I looked up a set for the 2019 Passport and the fitment guide on the website appears to be listing all the vehicles that it will fit on, and that is many.

If so, any drawing, for any of them you might find would work?

Please do your own research, or reach out to an installer at an accessories place they may be able to confirm or debunk this thought.
