Accord lease is nearly up and local dealer is of course willing to take it back a few months early with no penalty. Today I decided to try a test drive in the Passport Touring which is top of the line in Canada. First impressions on a rainy day test drive was how very quiet the Passport was. Was one of the quieter vehicles that I have driven. Second impression was that there seemed to be a slight hesitation when you kicked the accelerator down. Just would like some comments from a few owners on my first impressions.

I find I have to lay into the gas pedal to get a snappier start. At first it seemed sluggish off the jump but I found the sweet spot. Still, sometimes I feel like I’m really stomping on the accelerator. It’s defintely a fast car though, especially on the highway. Sport mode makes a big difference but I find it to be too aggressive. I use the paddle shifters to sort of create my own sport mode. Defintely agree that the cabin is very quiet. It’s easily as quiet as our 2015 Mercedes. Stiff seat is my only complaint. My back has been having a rough time.

Also be sure the Auto Idle Stop "feature" is turned off. It can cause a hesitation.

I was just punching it from around 20 to 25 kilometres per hour and not from a dead stop. Just took a short drive to get the feel of it.

I used the paddle shifters for that stuff. Two clicks and I'm off.
