Either stay with the lines, use your blinker or get used to it - seem to be our only choices...!
Unfortunately here in AZ they do not do a good job covering the old lane lines when they put down new ones,Either stay with the lines, use your blinker or get used to it - seem to be our only choices...!
You can turn off lane departure monitoring completely.I wish there was a way, or the dealership had a way, to shut off the steering wheel shutter for lane departure. I line having the visual and auditable for it, but hate the steering wheel shutter. So many times it gives false indications.
In warning only it still shakes the wheel. Maybe I should show them this page and ask why it is still shaking the steering wheel to my dealership.
The warning option is meant to shake the steering wheel. The RDM has three setting options - (Normal, Wide and Warning Only), both Normal and Wide options has RDM vibrating the steering, briefly taking control of the steering or applying brakes when it detects the vehicle leaving it's lane without blinkers being used, the Warning Only option just vibrates the steering wheel to alert the driver that the vehicle is leaving it's lane.In warning only it still shakes the wheel. Maybe I should show them this page and ask why it is still shaking the steering wheel to my dealership.
I think I just figured it out - I’ve disabled the RDM feature in the “Safety Support” section that’s managed by the steering wheel. Haven’t tested yet, but wanted to put this out there before I forgot. In warning only it still shakes the wheel. Haha I think it’s a great feature overall for most people, and it’s a good thing it’s tricky to disable. I just personally don’t like it, so I’m glad there’s a way to disable it fully. Its to keep you safe! Some dumb dumbs refuse to put their smart...i.meant dumb phones down while they are driving a vehicle.
Your first post and you claim the impossible is possible but provided no evidence...What's the game?I think I just figured it out - I’ve disabled the RDM feature in the “Safety Support” section that’s managed by the steering wheel. Confirmed it worked on an Integra, but I’m sure it’ll solve the issue for all of the Honda family cars 😅
I previously set the mode to warning, but as the original post states, the wheel still jiggles.Your first post and you claim the impossible is possible but provided no evidence...What's the game?
Now I see what you meant. What Acura calls Safety Support in your Integra is called Driver Assist System in the Passport's infotainment system settings. We can only adjust RDM sensitivity there though but we have a hardware button for turning it off just above the driver's left knee.I previously set the mode to warning, but as the original post states, the wheel still jiggles.
Making the extra change as shown in the pictures no longer causes the wheel to jiggle/vibrate.
I of course tested by veering into bike lane, other lane (safety of course for those who are wondering!
I’ve been searching how to for a couple weeks now and came across this post. Finally figured it out thanks to this crew, so I signed up to share my success 🤘
So are you saying we can turn this off completely and have the setting persist across restarts? Very interested if that's the case. Aside from auto start/stop this would be #2 on my list of annoyances. Now I see what you meant. Parking sensors, RDM and LKAS will stay off when you switch them off, however, CMBS (which can also interfere with the steering and apply brakes) comes on with each engine start even after you have switched it off.So are you saying we can turn this off completely and have the setting persist across restarts? Drive a Subaru, it'll make you appreciate the Passport's subtle safety devices compared to the hallways annoying in your face can't ever disable Subaru warning system.visual
