I'm loving my new snow tire set up so much I thought I'd share! I ordered the wheels, tires, with the tire pressure sensors from Tire Rack for $1415. I did a bunch of research and the prevailing theme was to NOT get snow tires to fit the stock 20" wheels because if you're like me you hit potholes, and snow-covered curbs - the higher sidewall helps protect your rims and personally I'm not a huge fan of low profile tires on SUVs but that might just be me. I went with 17" wheels (17x7.5 MSW TYPE 55 MT DRK GRY), with 245/65R-17 Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 SL. The 20" Blizzaks from Costco were a little over $900, and about $1000 elsewhere. The 17" Blizzaks were $667 which practically paid for two of the wheels. The tire sensors were an additional $152....but all in all I think this configuration looks and performs great and will save us money at the end of the day because I love Ruby, and she's not going anywhere soon. PS - If your tire order comes with lug nuts use them, don't be like my husband and I and read the instruction book AFTER install. All I have to say is she looks like a beast and drives like one - ready to take on the Montana winter!!
