I am having a problem with my texting in my 2019 Passport. I receive texts, but when played, it goes through the date, time, phone#'s, etc. before it reads the actual text. Am I missing some setting on this? Would live to hear from someone on this.

Does the same in my Touring PP. Extremely irritating! If you are stopped though, the texts will show on the screen. Disappear as soon as start moving again.

Are you using CarPlay or Auto? My incoming texts come through CarPlay via Siri, just tells me who then message and if I want to respond via hands free.

Using the Infotainment system, mine does the same thing. "Speaks" everything in the text.

You can always proceed with getting a temporary phone number. This can be a great tool for you if you don't want to publish your number. Another popular application is registration procedures. I too had this same issue and ultimately found it to be NOT a problem with anything related to the vehicle, settings, or audio system.
A side note, mine and my wife's phones are Android so I don't have anyway to confirm this anything other than an Android based phone.
It WAS/IS a "feature" of my phone where you can change SMS settings (chat) from simple SMS to more robust features like MMS.
Once I found them and experimented toggling settings,, I finally got it working back to normal!
Before:
time;date;time zone adjust;subject; to phone #; cc phone number; MESSAGE
After:
MESSAGE

I also clued into it being the phone because my wife has a CRV and in her vehicle her SMS messages are normal.
Her phone in CRV, messages normal
Her phone in PP, messages normal.
My phone in PP, abnormal.
My phone in CRV, abnormal.
Fiddled with the chat/messaging settings,, all normal now!

I had the same issue and decided to get a temporary number on AnonymSMS it worked the best for me.
