Hello
I noticed today I have a little crack on the foot plate when you enter on the driver side passanger side. Under further investigation it looks like the foot plate plastic piece is pretty weak anf flimsy.

Had any work done requiring that trim piece be removed, such as led lighting or speaker wire? They are flimsy if removed incorrectly or forcefully in haste.

is it a crack or just a deep scratch? hard to tell in the pic. I ask because I used to install interior trim parts and when ones like that would break they would shatter/explode vs tiny cracks like that. EDIT: I see two little white marks at both ends of the crack, was something dropped there?

I checked again and it is a crack. I don't remember dropping anything on it. Very strange. I wonder how much that part is to replace. I will most likely not replace it since it is not very noticeable but just curious.

Hmm… Was it always a solid feel, or was there some give to it?
I've noticed some parts of my floor boards that give a bit when pushing down.
Would you have had a reason to really bare down on that foot rest?

You can replace the part for ~15 dollars. I think it is 84251-TG7-A00ZA.

I've taken my door sill trim off a bunch of times for running wiring or vaccuming, and it is fairly strong as long as not removed improperly. My guess is you got a bad part or it was removed improperly at some point.
