I searched for this and came up with nothing so I’m wondering if I may have an issue with my brakes.
Nearing 7,000 miles on my 2020 and this issue has been noticeable since day one, but I chalked it up to being new and having to bed the brakes.
Unfortunately, my brakes are still very touchy.
What makes this worse is that I also drive a Chevy Silverado where braking is a firm push on the pedal gradually stopping. When I get into the PP, doing this will cause my passengers to jolt forward.
Does anybody think that their brakes are overly sensitive?
I also thought it was due to the transmission downshifting into first or second gear (kind of annoyingly) as I stop. I’ve gone to selectively down shifting using the paddle before the lurching happens.

Funny you say that because I feel like the brakes on my 2021 PP Elite are a bit softer than I would like them. I don't know if I simply drive faster and brake later than I do on my other vehicles but with the PP I feel like I am having to stab the brakes more often to get the response I want. I am by no means complaining about them as they are more than adequate, I only recently turned over 1000 miles on my PP. I do notice that when the brakes kick in they really kick in so I get the notion that they cause the vehicle to lunge forward a bit.

Yeah a little softer would be better in my case.
I just get immediate brakes!

No issues here.

I do notice when I drive a rental, it’s brakes are so different than any of my Honda’s.
Perhaps you are so used to your Chevy, the Honda is still new?

If ever any doubts, get them inspected. Brakes aren’t to be questioned.
I keep telling my young neighbor who has a 2011 Accord with 5mm on their pads the same thing!

I think that’s the problem ProdGirl, going from one vehicle to another.
Guess what, my wife who only drives the PP doesn’t think anything’s wrong.
I will have the service tech test drive it when I schedule my first oil change.

I find myself consciously thinking about braking when I drive my wife’s 2020 PP AWD, with just over 6,000 miles. I try to be gentle and as linear as I can possibly be, but sometimes it gives me that sudden, almost dead stop at the end. I mostly drive my 2014 Honda Civic Hybrid, with just under 97,000 miles. I think of them as two dogs (Hondas) but substantially different breeds.

You took the words right out of my mouth.
You understand me!
If I didn’t have this issue on my mind every time I'm behind the wheel, there would be NO issues to bitch about.
Really love my PP, but like you say, braking is always on my mind.

The transmission will not downshift to 1st gear unless you have the PP in "S" mode or are using the paddle shifters. In "D" mode the PP always takes off in 2nd gear.
If operating normally, your PP should not be lurching. I suggest having the dealer take a look.

The problem may not be the PP. but Chevy trucks have horrible brakes, You might as well drag your feet. The PP. of mine is very touchy, a normal stop they are fine but a sudden need they are too much and too easy.....

Each Passport is slightly different, from another. That's why we test drive them.
