. . . here it is. So many questions and discussion about it, thought it might be more helpful to simply post some pics.

Assume y'all know where the OBD2 port/connection is; behind the left side of dash, above and to the left of the parking brake.

Now lay on the floorboard, and look up behind the dash in the area ABOVE the OBD2 port/connection

No need to remove any tape (unlike installing the trailer wiring behind the rear drivers panel). Fitting is readily accessible.

Or can go with no wires, no box Curt Eco Bluetooth brake controller. Just is interface between vehicle wiring receiver and trailer wiring plug. Adjusts via app on phone. So simple. And can easily bring to future new tow vehicle.

Cool! is it reliable? Fail safe back up? What happens if you loose cell service/reception?
I'm old school and usually don't F with what is tried and true. That being said, I am intrigued by tech and love seamless applications. It's great when it works, royal PIA when it don't.

No issues with wireless. Works with Bluetooth and works even if Bluetooth disconnects. The app is just to adjust the default settings. Its power comes from tow vehicle. One doesn't lose bluetooth when phone signal drops. Bluetooth independent from cell signal. Comes with a fitted securing strap to ensure doesnt fall out. You just want to remove it when not towing as protrudes out and screams steal me!.
