Haven't had the intake in for about 25,000 miles but thinking about throwing it back in. Exhaust is still holding strong and liking it very much. Maybe a slight bit more drone or I'm just getting older and my ears are not diggin' it as much but still happy with the overall package.

That's awesome, you have the 5" round magna flow on there right?

I'm considering something there. Would be cool with the larger size of the 22' exhaust tips.

Passport looks great—but man that 4Runner is one of the best looking SUVs out there
Ha! Thank you. I definitely loved it and it was my dream car at the time. But this is now my dream car and I love it equally, in a different way.

It was epic wheeling the 4Runner though. I daily drove it without a front sway bar for years 😂 that thing was fun. I bet the next gen looks really cool

Here is when I changed my wheel center caps, away from the bright Black Rhino logo which was also gloss black on a satin wheel (w/ the weird cartoon rhino..) to something that kind of looks stock"ish" but also is a bit more subtle overall and has a satin finish to actually match the wheel.

I really wanted the 18" HPD black wheels from Honda but they were backordered for so long so I went with the Rhino's, but I still wanted the HPD element and not bright white center caps. I ultimately had my own aluminum "sticker" made (80mm diameter) to fit inside the black rhino cap. I took the original HPD wheel center cap design seen below (photo with the silver logo and yellow circle), and kept only the actual HPD logo, made the whole background black and the HPD logo dark gray, finished off with a satin/matte finish. It all costed about $25, very easy install the black rhino caps came off with a little heat and then these went on; and I love the final result.

Looks cool!
Unlike many other people I don't shrink away from Honda's logos and badges but one of my grouse with non OEM wheels is the inability to replace the center caps with Honda center caps due to wheel hub size differences. I prefer the raised logo center cap like the picture I attached instead of the painted ones, I wonder if your procedure can work with that too.

Interesting, I know most of these types of center caps (for sure Hondas) have tabs that lock into the wheel. Using my process you'd have to figure out a way to get the "3D honda emblem" onto one of the aluminum stickers. I wonder how they make them on the OE one pictured, like if that emblem is stuck on or if it's a part of the tool that makes the center cap via injection molding?

Actually, you could probably make a a blank aluminum sticker (all black in your preferred finish) and then get a stick on honda emblem of nice quality and center and stick it onto the center cap sticker! then apply the whole thing to any wheel. You'd just need to find one that is the right proportions (maybe a steering wheel adhesive emblem would be close?).

This would be cool with the red honda logo on black!

Most after market wheels have hub diameters that are bigger than the typical Honda 64.1 mm, I believe this is because after market wheel makers want to accommodate as many vehicle types as possible. Take your Back Rhino Overlands for example, the only hub diameter available for 18 inch wheels with 5 X 120 mm bolt pattern is 76.1 mm hub diameter, Honda's center caps will fall right through that size or you lose them completely while driving.
I think if I go your route, I will replace the after market wheel's logos with a blank aluminum disk, buy a set of OEM Honda center caps, pry off the 3D Honda emblems (Black, Red, Chrome) and glue to the center of the blank disks.

Looks so good! I wish they made a black front emblem with the sensors so I could swap that out

I think this would work! That would be an awesome solution and still look very OEM. If you do this please document ha.

I would normally always agree with this, but after having literally an all black 4runner, I was kind of looking forward to having a few more stock elements in the vehicle, like the front H logo and the rear silver exhaust tips. To look less like an insane build.

Having said that I did everything else black. And I'm looking at smoke tinting my front turn signals and smoking my headlight side markers haha but for some reason I like the big dumb H 😂

Added Honda hitch, wiring harness, and ATF cooler (sorry I don't have a lot of pics here), always fun to completely remove the bumpers on a brand new car, the clips are so weak and integral to the bumpers, always use patience..

I was just curious. Did you remove all that to put the hitch on? I installed my hitch and wiring and didn't have to remove anything

It had to be removed to install the new rear valence, the one with cut outs in it for the hitch to seamlessly got into the bumper. It definitely had to come off to do.

The hitch itself and the wiring wouldn't have needed the bumper to come off, but the new plastic valence did. I believe it's a similar install to 2021? Is yours aftermarket?

Filled the under trunk storage quickly with Blue Ridge Overland Gear's dedicated bags for Recovery, Tools, and Medical. Also fit a folding shovel, folding saw, and some other things there too. This compartment is one of my favorite features on the HP, all this used to be in aa huge duffel in my 4Runner always taking up space, now totally hidden and keeping the trunk clean. I'm happy to show these in further detail, I've put alot of thought into them.. 😅

This looks great. I would like to know the details for this setup. Perfect fit and purpose. Which bag model? Which sizes? Where to buy? The Blue Ridge website is a little hard to navigate, and looks like there is more to iton the bottom layer. Very nice.

I don’t think so. I think it’s the original. We bought it used.

When I installed my CarlinKit 3.0 Wireless Apple CarPlay Adapter. It fits perfectly in this cubby with a little added velcro tape to hold it up.

I also removed the wireless phone charger warning label at this time (too many labels these days), it was a very stubborn sticker, just needed heat and patience.

Any thought to re-route the Carplay USB into the center console so that the carlinKit can live there instead? I can t find anyone who has done or tried that...just curious if you considered?
