Hi,
I've got a 2022 EX-l and plan on using it for camping and other things. I've got an air mattress for the back. Pretty cozy there.
My question is if there is a way to start the car from the baggage compartment. I'd really like to sleep back there in the winter and when it gets too cold, I'd like to be able to warm up the interior without having to go to the driver's seat and go through the normal start process. I tried to use the FOB without success.
If that's possible, will the car retain the heater settings from the last time?

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Dave

Two broom handles, one for the pedal and one for the button. Seriously I think most cars prohibit certain fob functions from inside which is frustrating.

At least with my old SUV you could long press the start button with no pedal (not as big of a reach) and start the car. Have seen no workarounds for the Passport other than pressing brake+start.

Side note, I can't get remote start to rememeber settings at all. Honda nanny circuits decide for you based upon temperature how the heat comes on for air, seats, steering wheel, etc. Annoys me to no end. If I want to turn my car into a sauna, I should be able to!

Nope… not possible, I’ve tried everything for the exact same reason. I think I even made a post about it on here too a while back.

I settled on what storm said above… but instead of broom sticks I use hiking poles… which are collapsible so they don’t take up as much space… and bonus if you go hiking at all lol

Maybe it's the two-pole trick then. As long as it has as soft end it shouldn't scratch the button. It's not what I was hoping what the answer would be, but workable.

Now if there was a way to roll up the windows and close the sunroof with the FOB, that would be great. I'd rather have that function than opening the windows and sunroof with the FOB.
The closing would be great if it's raining or snowing or you just want to have the windows closed without going out to do it.

Cheers

I have a fleece lined, zero-degree rated sleeping bag...

And I have had a water bottle freeze solid, next to me when sleeping inside my Passport...

Has anybody used the Honda smart phone app? I've read it has some starting capabilities, but it may have to have a yearly paid subscription.
