I feel really stupid asking this. We’ve had our PP for a little over a year now. Love the ratcheting armrest. I could have SWORN the front passenger side armrest ratcheted also. The other day I noticed it just went up and down. Took the car to dealership today and was told the passenger armrest doesn’t ratchet. Was I dreaming?

You NEED to have better dreams ;)

I have Touring model, driver & passenger armrests 'ratchet'

Mine too. Go back to the dealer. Check out another Passport on the lot. If the passenger armrest rachets, ask the service advisor to accompany you out to the other Passport and show him it ratchets.

Mine ratchet as well...although, maybe the dealer is confused about what you mean by that?

Welcome to the forum! What trim level is your PP?

Only the touring and elite trim levels ratchet on the passenger side. The ratchet part is internal and the only difference. Online shows this part to not be available for order. I’ve never tried the dealership itself.

You must have the EX-L, as that’s the only model with a driver’s side ratcheting armrest, and a non-ratcheting armrest on the passenger side.

Personally, I find the ratcheting driver armrest annoying. Would rather just have the full flip up and back down to level, not past level and then raise up a little. Is there any way to disable the ratchet and set it to be equal to the passenger side (which does not ratchet)? Thanks

I really appreciate the ratcheting arm rests; both sides ratchet in my car. Don't think it can be disabled.

The ratcheting arm rests and the center console are a couple of my favorite things about the interior of the Passport. I had a 2017 Ridgeline, then a Chevy Equinox (a real POS), traded it in for a 2019 Passport and once again I found how much I enjoy the armrests and center console.

Two of my favorite features also. I wish I had both in my RDX.
