QuickJack vehicle lift?

2572 Views 5 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  PNWGarageDad
I'm looking at possibly picking up a clear floor lift of some soft. The one I'm looking at is one of the QuickJacks: QuickJack Models - Portable Car Lifts - Car Lifts

Just wanted to check to see if anyone here, or anyone you know, has used one of these and their opinion?

(For reasons) I loathe letting the dealer touch my vehicles for anything that I can possibly do myself (without killing myself in the process). I've done 100% of the maintenance on my prior Hondas (CVC, ACCD, Pilot, RL) with the exception of the timing belt/water pump services, and intend to do the same with the PP.

Looks like I can pick them up via costco (and grab an extra year warranty in the process).

Also looking at 4 Rennstand units from Safejack. Obviously more of a PITA to use (at half the price) but once I'm getting close to a grand, why not a bit more?

The RennStand by Safe Jack

Yes, I know I can accomplish this with Jackstands, but I'm looking for something a bit more...more :)

No, I do not have space for a set of side lifts.

Quickjack is the best tool in my garage! I have the 5000 SLX and its a little short for the Passport so I purchased the frame extensions and the truck adapters. Ive been using my QJs way before I got my Passport. Here are some pictures of using the QJ with my PP and without frame extensions, which I do NOT recommend.

I like those Rennstand they look solid! And maintenance free!

I'm not sure what the cost difference are or what other vehicles you have and if the products would work with your other vehicles. That might factor in a little. I think you did good research and you won't go wrong with either product.

Thanks, @PNWGarageDad. Appreciate the feedback.

I was looking at the 7000TL or TLX. I'll need to look into frame length, as I've got host of cars/trucks/etc that I do maintenance for (Mine, Wife's, Oldest Boy's, Extra Car, 1 elderly parent's SUV, Uncle's CUV, 1 Cousin's CUV)...yeah, I got myself into that :)

I'm not seeing any pics in your post, though.

You manage a fleet of vehicles! 😁
Here is cool video of the amount of load the QJ can support.

Very cool and thank you @PNWGarageDad

BTW, do you know how far forward the vehicle is moved when it is lifted up with the QJ? I'm trying to figure out if I have enough space in front of the PP for movement clearance.

Good question! I think it's about a foot. You can position the QJ to lift forward or backwards. I usually have my vehicles lifting forward and have the garage door open and have hydraulic pump sitting just outside the garage so I don't trip over it. I have limited room in my garage as well.
