I would start here and follow the prompts. Prior to that I did clear my USB device and ensured there were at least 16 GB of space left.
That's where I started and I used three different USB drives even bought a new one today and keep getting same results . I understand Garmin is down and maybe this is the problem.I would start here and follow the prompts. Prior to that I did clear my USB device and ensured there were at least 16 GB of space left.
I think the way it is supposed to work is that you put your USB in car, pair the car unit with the USB through the Navigation interface, go back to your computer and download the update... So the screen shot above happens after those steps?
Yea, I wonder if there is some firmware that is triggering that identification. Be interesting to know what you find out. Good luck.Yes , I can't figure out why it is showing an Odyssey as the vehicle , I'm going to contact Garmin on Monday
Had the same problem when I first got my PP. The license to your Garmin software was not given to them from Honda. You will need to email the xml code which you can get by inserting a USB thumb drive in the port on the dash by the shift buttons. From the navigation screen hit the 3 dots go to settings / maps / update maps and start. It will write your information to a xml file. Transfer that file to email and send it to the customer service person you talked to. It will take about 3 days and they will let you know your set to update. Be aware the Garmin systems are down due to a ransomware attack, so it may take even longer.
I thought I would give it one more try today and it did the update with no problems . ???Thank you very much
I had that exact problem and found out that you can only use the exact size USB drive as stated in the manual nothing smaller or larger. As soon as I purchased that size USB drive it worked perfectly. (I originally used the USB drive that i had been using in my 2017 Accord and although I had reformatted it, it was not the correct size drive).I'm trying to do a update on my navigation , when Garmin searches for my usb it tells me , 'this device not compatible with Express and shows an Odyssey as the vehicle , anyone else have this problem ?
