Potential PP Sport owner checking in.

I've been looking hard at the new Passport for my wife. The only other vehicle we are also interested in is the new VW Tiguan SEL (comparable in price), it has a few more features than the Sport but the Honda V6 and reliability are key points for me. We live at elevation here in Colorado so I need some thing that can get up the mountain passes which has eliminated most of the other under powered CUV and crossovers. If we do decided to go with the Passport

Giving up my prized 2017 Tacoma with only 8000 miles but I travel for work 6-7 months out of the year, pointless for me to have it.

I'll let you folks know what we decide on and welcome anyone's input that might have cross-shopped with the Tiguan.

Hope you pick the PP of course and I’m not familiar with the Tiguan - good luck tho !!! I liking my PP a lot and haven’t had any issues ?
Best of luck in the shopping. I was seriously considering the Tiguan as well, but wound up going with the Passport and I’m glad I did. The Tiguan engine felt somewhat sluggish to me, and the added room in the Passport along with its torque vectoring AWD system pushed me over the edge. Depending on your needs and budget, the EX-L trim might be the best bang for your buck.
That's a great looking Tacoma Matt! But if you are looking for a smoother ride, better handling and just a way better driving experience, I'd go with the Passport.

VW is rated near the bottom in reliability, personally I'd never own one, but I suppose if you got the extended warranty, you'd take care of that aspect. Also, if you're an out-going person who likes to meet new people, I'm sure you'd be on a first name basis with all the Service people at your local VW dealer in no time at all!

Post of the month right here^^^

Nice Taco, its prolly worth more than you paid.
Do not let it go too cheap.

I went with the PP mainly because of the BIG H on the front and the V6. Its nice, very snappy and fun to drive. Nothing wrong with the Sport, but personally, I'd try to go up to the EXL trim level if you can.

Good luck, and WELCOME!

Thanks, Matt's post was from May-2019 and it looks like he never came back, Wonder if he is over on the VW forums complaining about his purchase?

Hahaha, probably.
I promise Steve, I'm trying to check the dates and stay on topic. Failing miserably at both.
