Will also put this out there on the World Wide Web - I’m in the process of buying new rims and tires and replacing my four continentals and black gloss rims. I think two rims have curb rash that black paint covered well, but only 4500 miles, purchased April 13.

I have no place to store them, so will either sell them to the tire store for pennies on the dollar or sell outright. Depending on when my new ones come in 1-2 weeks and when I’m home to get them put on...

I’m in Huntington Beach, CA., and do not have the time or resources to store and ship them. Sorry.

One idea is to sell (1) each to current (local) Passport owners who want one to replace their mini-me Spare, I drove 600 miles this last weekend and have no idea what I would do if I got a flat or blow-out and had to drive with that tiny tire (isn't the max speed 55?) Anyway, I might be interesting in 1 if the price was right OR if you want to let me know what America's tire offers you, I might match it and keep one and sell the other 3 as full size spares. I'm about 15 minutes from America's Tire, drove by there today...

that’s a great idea! However, as you know - I have no where to store them...Honestly, I’m not even sure I have space for 1 for myself. When I thought I was moving, I started storing boxes under my car in the garage. Would you think one tire laying on the concrete would clear anything under it?

I’m going to pay for them at the store this morning on Warner by Lowe’s. He said the new ones might be in Friday, or Monday for sure. I work in LA Friday night - Wednesday though. So I might not be able to get them until next Thursday or Friday. Will know Friday. I’m embarrassed to even say what they would offer me on the tire and wheel. But for someone in our group, I’d for sure let them go for a really good deal. ?

That's not a bad idea, but I have my doubts that it would fit in the spare tire cavity.

it for sure won’t fit in your spare spot. I looked at that. A few people talked about cutting the molding to make it fit, but I never heard much more about it.

you are in OC or LA, right? Would you be interested in my GoFundMe campaign to buy one tire and meet at America’s Tire on Warner in HB When the new ones come in?
I will buy you guys Carl’s Jr. since its next to the !

I did a quick measurement and do not think the width of the OEM tires/wheels will fit where the mini-me spare is anyway, which is another problem, so I guess you'll just have to let AM take them... (sorry)

Can't wait to see the new set up though...!

oh yeah, I measured earlier too. No bueno. And man our spare is sketchy looking!

I talked with my Honda shop (Autowave) - have you ever gone there?
He said if I don‘t get a confirmed buyer(s) before my new wheels get here I can store them there and he will also spread the word to his customers. I’m the only Passport he’s got, but don’t the OEM wheels fit a Ridgeline or Odyssey?

They might fit a Pilot, you could check out the Honda site and see which vehicles are available with 20" wheels.

Another option is to separate the wheels and tires, those tires (if I recall correctly) are like $300 each, so a used one with(15k miles?) would have to be worth $50 -$75 (each) for someone willing to buy them and store them until they need new tires...

Just curious. What wheels and tires will you be getting? I have a Touring with the grey wheels which are nearly the same color as the Modern Steel Metallic. They look ok and the overall ride is ok but I do not like the wheel style nor the 20" size. I am thinking of going with a satin black wheel either 18" or 19" that has a more
"aggressive" look and a tire that is more "SUV in look, tread, and aspect tratio. Are you staying with 20s?

I might have a love hate with my new tires and wheels? Maybe it takes a minute to get used to them? They are certainly bigger, than the Continentals and OEM wheels, even if it’s just 3/4” as I’m told?

The reason I stayed with the 20” is because I wanted to have a more sport look. I’ve gotten a bit of slack from friends that my Passport resembles a soccer mom car! Which I am not, nor was going for that look. I would tell them I’m a Karate Kid Auntie - not a soccer mom! ?

I know what you mean. Don't know why Honda thought their wheel selection contributed to the "Adventure" theme they were supposedly going for. ...BTW- I added cross bars to the roof rack to make it look more like an "SUV". I think they do NV give it a "sportier" look. Doubt I will ever put anything on them except for a Xmas tree :)

So true!

And I thought about adding the crossbars too, but I really have to be conservative with adding any dimension to the vehicle. I live in So Cal., my current garage is so small. I was in escrow on a townhome, the garage was a bit wider, but not as long and lower clearance, (I think it was about 1 3/4” height clearance). Although, next year I am considering hanging up my So Cal hat and a move to Coastal Oregon or Washington.

Iij live in Carlsbad... Garage is standard height with a sectional door. PP with cross bars fits fine. Though I have to always lift the rear liftgate manually as there no way to set the ht. limit. My wife has a new X3 and the liftgate ht can be set on that. It also has front and 360 cameras which I miss on the PP.

I wish I could even lift my tailgate a bit...I have to back in and hover the drivers side door to just get in and out and get to my washer dryer that’s behind my car! Someday, I will be able to give my Passport a garage that’s more functional.

It’s more of how the frames inside the garage and the motor hanging have been built in the few places I’ve looked at. You know how the sea air can tear up our cars, yet alone the tweakers who are steeling anything not cemented down!

Ouch, that is so tight o_O, I am really surprised the only thing you have curbed is your rims. I could never squeeze in and out of the PP in those tight quarters.

I managed to avoid any serious road rash until last week, at nearly 15k miles. Bought some touch up paint on Amazon, which I should receive this week.

I like the black glossy rims. if I can keep from destroying them as I’ve mostly done so far, I’ll keep them.

If you want it sooner, I picked up some black gloss paint for metal from Home Depot for a few bucks.
