Completed my first Passport adventure. 154 mile Texas Hill Country Trail. Mixed terrain (country roads, dirt roads, light off-roads, loose river rocks, sandy areas, and quite a few river crossings (wet & dry), nothing technical). The vehicle handled everything with ease, comfort & confidence.

I ran the entire trail at 32 PSI which seemed to be a good compromise. My Passport is lightly outfitted with 18'' Ridgeline wheels, 30.5'' Continental Tire Terrain Contact AT, and No-Lo Designs skid plates.

I promise you that we got dirty, but the P&S Bead Maker repels so much stuff that sometimes it looks like we detailed the vehicle right on to the trail!

We also did quite a few river crossings, one was 49 seconds long! I uploaded some videos to FB, but not up to YT yet. So y'all will have to settle with the pics for now!

Cheers
-Michael

Fantastic pics... I’m getting the same wheels put on Monday, but powder coated matte black, with 255 Nittos, and 1.5/.75 Traxda lift. Yours looks great so I’m even more excited now, haha.

Curious, how did the skid plates hold up? I put my no-los on last week and haven’t been out with them yet. They noted some people see the front skid screws back out in the front. I used loctiteper their recommendation so fingers crossed they stay put.

On the latter part of our trip we spent a full day at Hidden Falls Adventure Park. I had a great spotter, the front skid plate only took 2 small dings. Note that I haven't mounted the U bracket connections yet. I just attached the front of the skid plate with some new stainless steel bolts, lock washers, and a dab of blue loctite.

Did the No-Lo front skid plate come with spacers for the front bolts? My JSport skid plate came with spacers for the front. The spacers will press through the plastic trim to the car's frame or cross-member, allowing the bolts to be securely tightened between the skid plate and metal frame.

Only the rear bolts of the skid plate came with spacers. I don't think the front of the No-Lo plate needs them (though I could be wrong). I just added a lock washer & some blue loctite to make sure they didn't rattle loose. Some of the more serious off-roaders like Jon T worked with No-Lo to add pre-drilled holes for large u-bolts that go around the cross-member. Apparently if the plate takes a serious hit the threads in the cross-member can be stripped out (regardless of brand).
