Aside from the fair knock against some of the overly sensitive safety systems I'm not sure this is right on most accounts. It doesn't drive like a sports car and I wouldn't want one that did.
Given how competitive the SUV/Crossover market is, offering a reliable, well-built product isn't enough anymore. Instead, even the most affordable SUVs
I love how they knock the Passport in reviews. But, when it's a head to head comparison with another SUV they always say the Passport is the winner. Go figure...
I had a 17 Ridgeline and the PP drives much better. The mushy brake pedal in the RL prevented left lane driving on packed highways, no confidence to get close to the car in front of you at speed. I like stiffly sprung cars and hate mush. It's not a sports car but more along the lines of a much better CRV. Had an 09 CRV that handled well and the PP imatches it or feels even better probably due to the refined feel. I suspect the Blazer is the driver oriented one. The 9 speed IMO holds it back a bit. I suppose the 10 speed that is coming on the next gen MDX will work its way down to the next gen PP and hopefully be better. No denying that PP is a go to vehicle. Versatile, hauls a ton of stuff and you can take it anywhere and use it any day of the year in any weather. I love my Accord V6 and the PP is much closer to the Accord than the RL was.
