Sounds great, Welcome to the Forum!

What types of driving do you plan to do with it?

The chipmyride.com chip maximizes hp and economy. Their chips are very reasonably priced about $200 and provide up to sixty more HP and five MPG. Personally I can certainly feel the difference in acceleration and my fuel economy went up about 2mpg. I am now averaging 25mpg in combined city highway driving. Let me add that I am not a particularly slow driver. My other car is a 2020 370Z which I chipped and picked up 3mpg and about 2/10ths from 0-60.

Because Honda tunes their cars to a little rich to protect their warranty. If lean out any OEM tuned motor to air fuel ratio to about 13.1 you will see an increase in both hp and mpg.
Will the engine have premature wear and tear/damage as a result of such tuning?

"provide up to sixty more HP and five MPG."

Manufacturers have been scrambling (for years) to gain tenths of a gal. MPG increase; you never get something for nothing.
Tis my biased opinion he's been reading the sales literature, not automotive science 101.

If properly tuned you will not see premature wear and tear as a result of tuning. I owned a custom car shop in the 90's and tuned many cars including my own 2001 Camaro SS that ran 140,000 miles on a very aggressive tune.
