I saw two passports in person when I went for test drive and they were both “platinum white pearl”. But honestly they looked yellowish. Their manufacturer date on sticker was 2/19 so they were some of the earlier made ones so figured maybe the paint color may not have been perfected. Is the white really yellowish? That isn’t what I consider platinum white pearl, there is hardly any white.

I loved everything about this car until I saw the white in person. Don’t want any other color.

The one white I saw was purely white.

Were the two in the showroom under fluorescent lights or outside on a cloudy sunrise or sunset time of day?

If it's a traditional pearl paint, its a three stage paint job on the vehicle. Usually its a white base coat with a pearl intercoat then clear over it. It adds depth to the paint however depending on the color of the intercoat it will appear to be different colors depending on the ambient lighting available. It wouldn't surprise me if it was bright white on a sunny day and off white on a cloudy day thats how pearls work.

@Water_girl i can totally understand what you're saying about honda's pearls not looking white saw this drive pass me yesterday i know not a passport, but it was a diamond white pearl, the camera on my phone i think exaggerates how i perceived it looks way more yellow in the picture. When it past me at an intersection it was definitely not white, yellowish off white, but even after getting behind it and in varying lights it never had the look of a bright white (time was approx 3:15-3:20pm sunset is at 5:30ish ambient lighting was a factor i believe). I'd check another dealer or like you said just wait till 2020's.

Can confirm. Look at the difference! Mine is the ugly one. I didn’t realize it until I park beside another white vehicle a couple weeks ago and now I can’t unsee it. I wasn’t mad about it until I saw this passport this morning. Im so put off by it!

The 2020 Passport is whiter than the 2019 model.
2019 = white diamond pearl
2020 = platinum white pearl.

I thought that all Passports came with roof racks and buying the cross member rails was an option.

I have noticed that the 2019 engine bay paint is not white diamond pearl like the rest of my suv, but it is whiter.

The roof rails are optional on all but Touring and Elite models. The cross bars are optional even on Touring and Elite.
