Official oil capacity?

Apologies if somebody already addressed this issue. I searched high and low here.
My '23 owner's manual lists engine oil capacity (including filter) as 5.7 quarts.
The mygarage.honda site with my VIN and created account states 4.2 quarts.
I will likely use the dealer for the first free services, but perform the subsequent ones myself.
Appreciate anybody shedding light on this, including other existing goofs. o_O

Honda is correct, it takes 5.7 qt on the new 3.5 engine. 5 qts will leave you 22 oz short, not the end of the world but why mess with success. I am sure Honda did their homework on this. We were a supplier to Honda for connecting rods, differential carriers, engine main bearing caps, etc; they are some of the most intelligent people on the planet. Spent many days in their engine plant, transmission plant, assembly plants. That's why I own 3 Honda's. Their attention to detail is mind boggling. Truely, the world's expert on internal combusition engines. If their suppliers were as conscientious as Honda, there would be very few issues. Retired engineer.

You are correct, it the oil is between the limits it is fine, however why start 22 ounces short? Most people never check their oil. The old 3.5 V-6's took 4.5 quarts. Most recently had the oil changed at the dealer on my 2018, the mechanic put in 5.7 qts, minimum. The oil was all the way up the dipstcick. Turns out he was not properly trained. That is a real issue, foam the oil, cause pan and oil seal leaks. Too much is almost as bad as too little.
Though it makes no difference to the consumer, the V-6 recall was due to a manufacturing error, not a design error. A mistake is a mistake, but the engineering was correct. That cannot be said for a lot of auto manufactures. IMO.

I consider anything above full line on the dipstick is overfilling not short as you are claiming it.
If Honda thinks its fine to go above the dipstick, do that. At 5qts, it's right on the full line is what I get from changing oil myself and I am gonna keep doing that.
No need to dump that extra 0.7qt in when 5qt will do the job and I don't need to have half used bottles laying around. Just dump a 5qt containing in and call it good.
Also just because it says on the manual doesn't mean it's correct. My Ducati manual says 3.5 liters of oil for oil change and if I do that, it will be way overfilling the engine. I go by what the sight glass tells me for oil level just like a dipstick.
