So...just putting one of my coworkers on blast. He says my passport looks like a soccer mom car!

I told him I was for sure going to rat him out here...

WTF - am I too sensitive with my Passport or just so exhausted?

Just went to HB AutoSound to talk with them about an alarm and they tell me kids aren’t breaking into our Paasports since it’s a soccer mom type car!! ?

Then, the guy tells me it’s unlikely that I’ll keep the vehicle for more than 5 years. Obviously, I left without an alarm.

This is twice in one week!

Dude, Send us his/her full name, living address, where he/she works, Model and color of car driven with license plate number, telephone number and email address. I have a friend who lives near Plainfield, NJ. Guido gets out to CA about every 3-4 weeks. His wife and two of his three grown kids drive Hondas. Guido still drives his '67 Eldorado. Note: photo is not his car and is not his plate.

Definitely a soccer mom ride.

That's just disrespectful. Take it to a business that wants to earn your business.
I don't know, it kinda could be...after all, I have one and am hauling 3 kids to wherever they need to be all the time. Kinda feel like a soccer mom myself but the hubby refuses to get a van so Passport and Pilot it is.
Well if it is , it’s a pretty cool looking one . ?
Don't worry - I have one and have no kids but have 2 dogs. It's a dog mom car too.

Soccer Mom car?! Those rat-bastards! LOL. By the way, I traded my '12 VW GTI for my Black Elite! I haven't looked back. I love my Passport. It's a rugged-looking, fun loving outdoorsy SUV. If soccer moms drive one occasionally, it's ok. Can't blame them, it's a nice vehicle! LOL. Prod Girl.. give the guy at work a break... he's just JEALOUS!! The guy at the alarm store... probably smoked one too many dubes.... would of messed up your ride anyway!

TGIF everyone!

Well, another neighbor called my Passport a soccer mom car this morning!

Her words, “I can’t believe you park your new soccer mom car in your garage every day” ??

Ok - yes, my garage situation is stupid. But I’m working on it. And what should I do, park my $46K new car on the street to get hit, stolen, broken into or jacked up from the sea air? I had no words but was so annoyed!

Do I need to paint flames ? or racing stripes to make my Passport not look like a soccer mom car?

My suggestion: Ignore the uninformed. She doesn't know what she is missing . . . .

That would just make you look like you're 16.

In her defense, the car does have mall-cruiser 20" wheels, which is something you see on most other soccer-mom crossover. From most angles, it's not particularly aggressive or rugged other than the black plastic cladding over the wheel arches, but those are becoming more and more popular among other soft crossovers too. Replacing the wheels with a set of 17" shod with some all-terrain tires would be a good start ;).

Or, just accept that it looks like a generic crossover, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It means it'll probably age well and have good resale value. Honda has never been particularly aggressive with their designs; they're pretty conservative to avoid offending anyone's taste.

A "soccer mom" car that can haul the family, has VTEC V6 fun (no longer available in the Accord or Acura RDX), it can do 0 to 60 in 5.8 seconds (car and driver) and do light off road duty.
other cars don't have the reliability or the high resale value. Enjoy your Passport, and ignore the rest. Just the upgraded sound system alone would make a GTI owner pee in their pants. LOL?

Plus, I'm guessing most folks that are not car enthusiasts heard the term "soccer mom" and apply it to anything that is not a sedan or sports car. It's just something they spew out way too often, IMO. They apply it to anything from a Outback to an Odyssey.

And with a bit of a jealous eye, me thinks. Enjoy your ride and ignore the Haters!! ?
