So my wife’s 2014 Nissan Rogue has height adjustment to avoid hitting the garage when you use the power lift gate. You would set the desired height, hold the button, and that’s it. Looks like this feature is available on the Oddisey and the Pilot, but for some bizarre reason, not on the Passport. After a quick search I have not been able to confirm this, but everything points to NO HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT. I have seen threads recommending to open the lift gate in “manual mode” by holding the button, or even installing a foam board in the garage door.
Please chime in to confirm this or educate me with a solution, perhaps there is a work around and I’m wrong.
I already had my big scare trying to set this up in the garage and almost hitting the door.
At this price range, this would be my first big disappointment on the Passport after 1 week of ownership.

Well said. Agreed. I wouldn't be surprised to see this feature implemented in the next model year or two.

Not sure my '15 Highlander was that much longer than the PP. But I back into my garage and opening PP tail gate allows me way more space to walk behind than I had w the HL.
But wife's Crosstour hatch will hit garage if she parks wrong, face in. I can see where a auto-adjust gate might be handy.

Our 2017 CRV had an adjustable rear hatch, too, so I was really shocked to find our PP Elite didn’t. But that’s my only complaint.

Recently parked in an underground garage. Deployed the remote hatch to open it. Looked up and realized I'd parked beneath some ceiling mounted pipes. Hit the remote button and reversed direction just in time to prevent contact. Will be mindful of indoor parking from now on.

Since I bump my head on the rear hatch at least once every week or two, I wholeheartedly endorse this recommendation.

Being 6 ft myself, I would love to see the hatch to go higher so I wouldn't bump my head. But, if you look at the hatch when it's up there is no more up left. The hatch is about a 1/8" from hitting the roof. It would be a major redesign in the mechanism for there to be anymore pivot height.

That garage is way too clean! 😀 Wish mine was like that. Wish I could fit a car in it. 🤣🤣
