Hello everyone, and happy Thanksgiving. I’m considering a new Elite, but just saw pics of the ‘22. Should I wait? And, any glaring issues with the Passport before pulling trigger?

2 Passport issues that don't happen to everyone, but have a history, on this, our Passport Forums dot com site.
First 2019-2021 = Low profile tires on 20" rims, so wait for the Passport Trailsport or spend $1,500ish, for 17" or 18" wheels & tires.
Second 2019-2021 = Reports of infotainment system cutting out, losing the speedo display, losing the radio radio, losing the back up camera caused a recall.

Imagine taking a trip in your new quiet Passport and a couple of hours in to the trip the radio starts to "pop" and you turn off the radio, but the pop noise is still there for the entire trip. Even taking a full sized keyboard with you, connecting it to the USB port and pressing ctrl+alt+del will only clear it so many times, before the Dealer has to become involved.

Bonus: Make sure to test drive 3 - 4 new Passports, because Passenger foot well noise has been found in some.

I myself am waiting for the Acura version of the Passport, with 17 or 18 inch wheels and hope they name it INTEGRA.

One thing to remember is that nearly EVERY Passport owner that has a problem, joins this site to complain or find out how to handle their issues, this probably equated to less than 5% of the total Passport owners.

If true, then over 95% of Passport owners don't have any problems, so don't be falsely swayed but the number of issues you see here..

Bottom line, it is a wonderful vehicle and even though I also had some issues (that were fully resolved) even after 32 months over ownership, if mine was totaled in a wreck (God forbid) I'd buy another one right away...!

I've had my 2021 Passport Elite since March 29th and just turned over 8,000 miles driving to see my family for Thanksgiving. I have been incredibly happy with this vehicle and my only gripes, be they minor, have to do with the Honda Sensing safety system. The auto braking feature tends to engage abruptly and can be a bit harsh. Also I and many others seem to get some braking readings in error.

Aside from those things I absolutely love my PP. I was on the road for 7 hours yesterday and this thing just ate up the miles going anywhere between 70 and 90 miles per hour. I find the seats to be super comfy and supportive which is a big deal for me because I've got issues with my back and hips. Engine is fantastic at highway speeds and sounds amazing when you gotta step on it 😃

Personally I don't think I dig the new front on the 2022. Kinda looks bland and doesn't flow with the rest of the car which is not changed.
It's up to you if you wanna wait as there is not other changes been made on the 2022 unless you want the new offroad model.

I loaded up my PP this weekend for a camping trip - stuffed to the brim with gear and firewood - for 27mpg on average, and I'll be reinstalling my vcm killer shortly to restore proper 6 cyl operation. Best of both worlds, if you ask me. Audio system might not be the greatest theoretically possible, but I've got B&W bookshelves at home anyway, no diamond tweeters or custom cabinet 24" subwoofers, so play a song you're very familiar with on the Bluetooth, and if you like it, it's good enough! Make sure to negotiate to try and get closer to msrp, too - I failed miserably with that. Good luck!
