was -8c this morn and the PP told me all 4 wheels low
while i was filling them I noticed a gap between tire and rim
think its normal or there wouldnt be any air.
never heard of steel rims having rim protectors before.
anyone see this before?
I have never seen gap between rim and tire before.

I do like the tire fill assist thing don't need
pressure guage anymore.

Looks like a standard lip for a steel wheel, depending on manufacturer they do vary, but seems normal to me. I'll take pics of some of my other vehicles on steelies they all look about the same.

i assume its right its a honda oem rim p/n 42700-TK8-A01
the rim is 17x7 and the tire fits 7-8.5 according to Michelin site.
none of my other steel rims over the last 30 years ever had that
and I have had steelies for winter on all.
Checked my old civic snowies in shed they are flush as
are the wifes on her tiguan.

not gonna worry seems like that is the way they are.
ugly af, what do I expect for 55 bux...lol
put another 200kms on it today with no issue
nice and smooth and quiet too.
