New (potential) Passport Elite AWD owner

I'm a long time Honda believer, going back to the late 80s. Over these years I've owned many/ Many/ MANY Accords, a 94 Civic, an 05 Pilot, an 11 Ridgeline, and two CR-vs (98 & 16); plus my brides 3 Odysseys (98,15, 20). Possibly even a few now forgotten models.

After recently putting my wife in a new (20) granny Ody we've both come to appreciate Honda's newest safety features; as I too am also getting older (and likely slower) I feel it's time for me to also move forward - vs. my currently unequipped 16 CRV; therefore I'm now shopping for (either) another modern CRV or a Passport. By my posting here y'all know where my inclinations are headed.

As I find my current CRV short of storage space (both front and rear) I'm leaning towards the much larger Passport. While it's more expensive it's what I prefer (although in fairness I've not yet driven it); provided my dealer and I can come to terms I'll possible become a contributing member here; if not I'll be looking at the newer CRVs, Subaru's or the Mazda's (both consumer reviews recommendations).

Based on your history, my guess is you'll stick with Honda, the Passport is a solid choice over the CRV, bigger, faster, roomier, yeah, it's a bit more money, but aren't YOU worth it?

Welcome to the forum...!

It's massive inside. Take it for a test drive. Be prepared to love it. ;)

Solid Honda owner you are. I've owned my Passport Touring for only a few days but I am really loving it. The size/look is what drew me to it. I love my CR-V but on road trips it was tight. For my needs, I think I've found my "niche" car in the Passport. I've been driving a CR-V since 2012 and forgot how much I missed the increased power of a 6 cylinder vehicle.
I guess I should have returned to this post ...
I purchased a Black Copper Pearl Elite; the dealer has already certified my CRV trade in and has it posted for sale.
