New Passport Owner

Hello from beautiful Pensacola Florida. We bought a Lunar Silver 2021 Passport EX-L AWD two days ago from Tameron Honda in Daphne Alabama. We traded our 2020 Audi SQ5 for our new Passport. We cross shopped a few competitors but came back home to Honda. This was our 12th Honda purchased, 9 of which were new.
We have some accessories ordered and planned. I’ll have a trailer hitch installed next week, roof rails, all weather mats, and crossbars are ordered. I went nuts doing mods on my 19 Subaru Crosstrek but this time I plan to keep the mods to a minimum as I want to preserve the great ride. I still have my Yakima roof rack from the Subie so I may try it on. It was a 3 mpg penalty on the Subie so it’s not worth leaving in on all the time.
We look forward to being a part of this community and hope we can contribute to its excellence.
Thanks!

Congrats and welcome...

Would love to hear why you dumped the Audi and the differences you see between the two...

Congrats and welcome. Admittedly, I can't imagine getting rid of an "S". Audi. I drove a friends' Audi S5 convertile last week when I visted Southern CA, and absolutely loved that car.
I decided we were not Audi people anymore. I’ve retired and I felt the maintenance expense plus potential repair would be too high to sustain. On a high performance car even a routine brake replacement can be $2K. I don’t drive like a heavy footed teenager so much of that turbo power was wasted. It was fun for a year but now I’ll take that extra money and invest it instead of watching it deprecate every month. That was our third Audi and now our 12th Honda so we kind of know what kind of service to expect. I also disliked the Audi dealer service. Both Honda dealers have been great for service. I tried to buy in Pensacola but for the third time I bought in Daphne Al. I saved about $3k.

Excellent points. Can't say I blame you there. As much as I love the driving experience of the luxury German vehicles... I've never been willing to take on the cost of owning/maintaining them.
Welcome and Congrats.
I guess once we leave Honda we can't help but return.
Lots of great peeps on here.

Roof Rails were installed today by the dealer. My trailer hitch, mats, and crossbars are expected this week. The land across the Bayou is NAS Pensacola. People come and park in front to watch the Blue Angels practice a couple of times per week. We swim, sail and kayak there.

I was looking at the Audi Q5, Acura RDX and MDX, but went with a brand new 2020 Passport Elite.

Having owned Civic SI wagon, 3 accords, Prelude and 2005 Honda Pilot EX L RES that is still going and up in Vermont with my college aged daughter, I decided
I know the reliability of Honda. My ex husbands Acura TL had small headache issues and my boss told me stay away from Audi, stick with Honda/Toyota.

Yes, been a Honda owner since 1986. Have had Nissan, Toyota and Acura too, but our Hondas alway been most reliable.
Love my 2020 Passport Elite and still love my 2005 Pilot EXL My daughter has it at college but I get it back for the beach trips this summer.
