We purchased a Ex-L 2wd Modern Steel February 12th and so far really enjoying it. We tinted the front windows and it’s getting the roof rack this week. Before we had a 2010 Lx Crv with 198,000 miles so this is so much better especially with 2 kids we didn’t have when purchased the crv.

hey if you dont mind me asking? how much did it cost to install the roof rack? the EXL looks odd without it.
Cost was $900 before tax so wasn’t cheap. I did find then roof rack and rails from a Honda dealer for $586 shipped but I didn’t have to have to install. If you want to order yourself and anything for your Passport check out Collegehillshonda.com they have the best prices I purchased a lot from them over the years.

I probably will lol. We are stuck between the passport and the ascent and kinda considering the Kia Telluride. How do you like the 9 speed transmission on the passport?
Transmission has been great it’s so smooth as butter. I don’t notice any more lag choosing a gear than other automatic cars out right now when you are cruising and need to punch it. The one thing I’m not a fan of is using the paddle shifters with a 9 speed as it’s just a lot of shifting.

This is also one of my concerns. Now when I need to downshift to use engine braking (long steep descent or going down an icy hill) I can just pull the shifter into 2nd or 1st gear easily and quickly. I'm not sure how easy it will be with the paddle shifters ... Do you have to change to sport mode first and then downshift or can it be done in normal drive mode?
You are able to shift in normal mode but it will go back to auto after a few seconds.
