Hello

I got a 2021 Honda Passport Touring yesterday. So far everything is a bit complicated as I jumped from a 2018 CRV lx to a Touring passport. So much nice stuff here.

I got a question. On these two days, on both morning and after my work, when I start the car. The brake seems so hard. Like I needed to press the brake hard and press the start engine button to start the car. After that, if I turn off my engine and try to start again, the break seems soft as usual. It seems the long-time engine turn off doing this. My question is is this normal or should I need to be worried?

Regards

Welcome, complicated is easily fixed by reading your owners manual, wandering around here via the search feature, etc. As far as your BRAKE pedal operation is concerned, is it cool where you live? Temperature will effect pedal feel a bit.

I'm sure it's just new and you are comparing your previous rides feel to the new ride.

Thank you, Sir. Appreciate your reply.
Welcome and congrats on the Passport 🎉
I've had my Passport for 6 months now and have not felt the brake pedal stiffen. That might change come the winter (I live in the Finger Lakes of NY). My previous HRV had that happen a handful of times, never became an issue past that. But I have seen other forum members mention a stiff brake pedal at times. I'm not sure what their outcomes were.
I have had times when instead of the Passport starting it goes into accessory mode first and I have to try again. Could be me not pressing the brake hard enough, but it does always start after that.

Welcome and Congratulations!
Mine does this on really cold nights (40* and lower) sitting outside.
When it was in a garage, or warmer out never had the issue.
