I now have 245/60-18 Continental TerrainContact AT tires mounted on Honda HPD 18” wheels with black lugs. All the positive reviews and a nudge from StevenD helped me make the tire decision. Also, I got a great deal on the tires through Mossy Honda of Lemon Grove (a San Diego suburb). Tires, installation, disposal, road hazard, and an alignment for $897.84 OTD. That was even cheaper than their original quote. Discount Tire quoted me $1,261 for the same. Also, someone asked about the weight of the original 20” black 5-spoke wheel I took off my Elite. Weight was 34 lbs 11 oz without stems or TPMS, but with some balancing weights still attached.

Well I hope you like them as much as I do. Got 28K on mine 265/65-18 and will get the same all over again when it comes time. I wish those HPDs were available when I made the switch from the 20s. Nicely done!

Thanks. It only took me 6+ months to get the HPD wheels. Fortunately, I wasn’t in a hurry. I like your black 5-spoke wheels and I definitely like how easy it is to clean a simple 5-spoke design. That’s the one thing I’ll miss about the OEM 20s.

Correction, I see you have a 6-spoke wheel - which I still think looks great.

Hey lance, don't the new tires just feel more secure/stable on the road?

(Hitting bumps, cornering etc...)

I also drove my OEM 20" set-up for many months, so I know how they handled and these feel SOO much better...!

100%! The ride quality over bumps is so much better! I’m definitely glad I made the change and I appreciate your input on the TerrainContact ATs. I’m super pleased with them. I walked out of a store the other day and a couple was standing there admiring my wheels and tires. Turns out, they were new Passport owners and said they wanted to get the same tire/wheel combo. And, besides the great tire deal I got from my local Honda dealer, I got my $100 prepaid Visa card from Continental yesterday. My wife thought that was super! A win win for me!
