Hi there,

As of yesterday I am the new owner of a Black on black 2022 Passport.

I am from Edmonton Alberta, Canada.

This my first Honda since I've owned a Honda prelude SI AWS back in the early 2000's and one 1991 Integra & 1993 Integra GS-R in the late 90's.

Coming back to the darkside from 15 years of chevy vehicles... Nothing but junk...

Well... 67 Km's in, the passport is in the shop some sort of electrical issue. All the lights and error messages showed up.
Can you please provide more information on the issued and what the dealer said is wrong with the car? Such information contributes to the knowledge base in the forum and helps other members who might experience a similar issue in the future.

Once I know more, I will give out some details. They need to contact Honda themselves, as they couldn't figure out the issue.

Ice/snow build up on the front H Logo Sensor would do that
That wasn't the case yesterday, it was sunny and around 10 degrees celcius. In Alberta, at this time of the year that is shorts weather.

I am going to assume that the Honda dealer checked the battery. Even a new battery can have its problems and from what I have read most of the dashboard christmas lights are set off because of the battery. I also assume that they checked to see if there were any codes displayed. Hope they find the cause soon -- don't want you drifting back to Chevy.

Watch out the VCM feature. I am a owner too of a new 22 silver gray passport trailsport and the VCM feature is driving me nuts. I am most likely going to invest in this VCMTUNER - Disable VCM / ECO for Honda Odyssey, Pilot, Accord & More.
Tons of youtube videos that explain why VCM is bad. Oil consumption, motor mounts, torque converters, fouled spark plugs and on and on. Had I known, I would have just kept on driving to the Toyota dealership.

Good to know.

This doesn't make me happy about my purchase at all. Just my kind of luck...

I don't think the issue the OP reported is VCM related. And a far as VCM is concerned, forum members have a mixed opinion.

The 3.5L in our Stormtrooper is the 4th with VCM since 2006. We put over 300,000 miles on these 4 engines ourselves. I'm not sure what happened to our '16 Pilot that we traded with 75,000 miles on it, but our daughter is driving our second Odyssey and it now has over 180,000 miles on it. The last I heard from the couple that bought our first Ody was when they had passed a quarter million miles. No VCM related issues on either of them. Just because some people have issues related to the VCM, doesn't mean everyone will. Just drive and enjoy it...
