How do we know if we *need* the update? Is there a version number somewhere?

How long did it take ?

I'm downloading an update right now. It said it would take over 2 hours -- but after only about a half-hour it's up to 76% Complete.

Annnnd it's done. I'd say it took around 40 minutes or so to download. I won't be able to do the next step (upload to the car) until later today.

I just finished uploading to the car. No problems. Pretty quick, less than half an hour.

I frankly don't really need this update since I use Google Maps, but I figured what the heck. Does anyone here use the built-in Garmin Nav instead of Google or Apple Maps??
