True, but that can enrage anti-gun freaks and they’ll probably key my car. Guess it all depends on where you live. Unfortunately, I’m in a very blue, anti-2A state. Gotta move...

Easy solution, drilled a hole through the top and bottom of the hitch cover rubber.
Install large zip tie with a small loop.
Fish another zip tie through the receiver pin hole.
Yes, you can just cut the zip tie with side cutters but at least it might keep an easy theft from happening.

You can always put a ball mount lock on it if the plug goes into the hit pin holes.
