My PP with 5100 miles and 7 months old just started making a muffled rattling/rumbling noise that seems to be coming from the engine compartment but sounds louder inside the cabin. The noise is constant and only changes in volume and not frequency. There is a black hose that comes from the AC compressor and connects to metal tubing and ultimately goes through the firewall close to the center. When I grab that hose I can feel a vibration that could translate to the noise I'm hearing inside the cabin. The dealer looked at it today but couldn't isolate the noise and due to time constraints asked that I bring it back. Has anyone had this issue?

My Passport makes lots of noise. First, there's the keys to the wheel locks that the dealer put in the glove box that I keep forgetting to do something with. Second is the little tray inside the console that slides around. Third is the fan for the ventilated seat on the passenger side that is really noisy. Last is the wind noise from the sunroof. The sunroof really drives me nuts!

Someone else found a wiring harness under their rear seat that was hitting the seat frame.

Those are all the noises I know about.

I am considering installing the OEM wind deflector for the sunroof to cut down the noise. Has anyone had success with the deflector?

I did and I think it actually made it worse! On the up side it does cut out the tornado when driving with the sunroof open and helps block some sun.

I just bought a new 2019 passport touring here in canada and had the moonroof visor installed before pickup and its very quiet on the highway with it wide open. hope that helps.

They do help cut the noise but they don’t do well in some car washes. Soap gets trapped under the deflector as well as leaves and snow

I drive everywhere I can with the sunroof open. The visor keeps the wind from bothering me and helps with the noise even on the highway.

The noise from the sunroof when it’s closed is what bugs me. I can’t say if the visor makes that better or worse.

I agree with the post about the soap from the car wash. Luckily, the blowers at the car wash I go to does a pretty good job blowing it out.

I have a white exl and no wind noise issues with the sunroof.
