Wondering if anyone owns or is considering owning more than one of the current generation of: Passport - Ridgeline - Pilot.
If so, what do you think of owning two of essentially the same vehicle? I only ask because I am considering becoming the owner of two of the three. Would it be awkward to essentially own two of the same car? Any thoughts welcome. Thank you.

I’ll give you a little different perspective. My wife has a 2017 Accord. It’s always a little weird when I drive her car because it’s similar to my Passport but also very different.

My perspective: the Pilot and Passport are essentially the same auto. The Ridgeline is a small pickup.
So as to further confuse this - over looking the body style I find my brides 2020 Odyssey to be very similar to my 19 Passport.

The Honda experience is carried thru all four; shop for the ones that make your heart beat faster.

Sounds like an opportunity to compare a Pilot to a Highlander.
I compared the 2020 Pilot to the 2020 Highlander prior to my Passport purchase. Didn’t need the third row, but the third row in the Highlander is a joke! Only meant for small children. Plus, Toyota isn’t budging much on the first year of the remodel.

OK the $200 is on the way. All good points to think about. Currently own a 2019 Ridgeline and have been lurking here as strongly considering a Passport to replace current MDX. Just wanted some thoughts on owning two autos that look similar inside and out AND if you have issues with one you might just have those same issues with the other as they are very close mechanically. Thank you for all the input. (Also considering an RDX)

Hello Yankee, the general consensus, is that there is less difference between a Honda and an Acura than a Toyota and a Lexus. My wife has a Lexus, and I'm coming off of 16 years of driving BMW's and I can tell you that the Passport (I have the Touring) is an extremely well made vehicle. I would not recommend upgrading to a MDX or RDX as they cost more, are more expensive to repair and depending on who you talk to: are NOT any more reliable than the Passport.

If you like your Ridgeline, then I say go for it...!

Hey Yankeezone -- I bought a deep scarlet 2018 Ridgeline RTL-E a couple years ago and really liked it, so much so that I remember thinking "boy I'd sure like a 2-row SUV like this". When Honda introduced the Passport, I just had to have one and I literally traded-in an almost new Subaru Crosstrek to get it....and what color did I get? Deep Scarlet. So not only do I have two of the twins, they are both the same color (although the Ridgeline has beige interior and the Passport Elite the light grey). I love both of them...except I'm having problems with the Passport's notorious "popping, snapping and crackling" electrical problems that are non-existent on my Ridgeline. They look eye-catchingly great side-by-side in my garage and the only comments I've gotten are positive. The added benefit is that, now that my spouse and I are older, the operations, controls, and "feel" are essentially the same regardless of which vehicle we're in, so we're fumbling less with the knobs and switches.

Thank you NMBill. That’s good to hear. I do love the looks of the Ridgeline and the Passport would be a great replacement for me for my next car. Love the blacked out looks. Yes essentially the interiors are the same and the familiarity could be nice for the wife and I. Great info. I’m sure they look great together!

Have a 2019 passport and a 2019 Ridgeline. Both AWDs. Also have a 2018 Honda Goldwing motorcycle. We actually appreciate the similarities and looked at options but wanted Honda. No regrets. .
Thanks Rick. I think the similarities might just be something nice to have. I will try to wait until the 2022 refresh and see if they can smooth out some of the quirks people are having. Thanks for the reply.

We have a 2018 Ridgeline RTL-E that replaced our 2006 Ridgeline that I loved...After several months of ownership of the 18 RL and the learning curve of all the new whistles & bells I finally got real comfortable with the RL...We also had a new 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL that was having drive ability issues that Chrysler couldn't fix and finally said "that's how they are, live with it"...We were at the Honda dealer having a Ridgeline fuel line recall done and we noticed a new 2019 Passport in the show room...The Jeep was gone that same day...Been smiling ever since...

That’s great to hear larryd. I appreciate the input. Really like the practicality of the Passport. I will look at the RDX as well as it’s really down to those two. Different cars I know but only ones I’m considering now. Thanks again.
