I was flipping through the maintenance menu checking tire pressures when I saw the B in the oil life screen. I've got 80% life left. 9,300 miles total. The oil & filter were changed and tires rotated at just over 8,000 miles roughly 2 1/2 months ago.
Why would I be seeing a service code now? Is it a reminder to check brakes?? I'm not finding anything specific beyond oil, filter, rotation...

It usually does not come on until you hit 15%

I changed filter oil and rotate tires. But you can always do a visual check as your working I the vehicle.

The maintenance code is to remind you what’s coming up not what needs to be done right away. Just keep driving until less than 10%. There will be more codes coming up as you get near the end.

OK, I don't remember A showing up this early. So as it gets closer to the actual time to perform the service there'll be numbers with the B? Thanks 👍

Yes. You will see usually B1 or sometimes B16 when less than 15% left if you are going to be over 15k miles for the rear diff service.

There are few things I hate more than the maintenance nag messages that you cannot override. I feel it's my car and if i NEVER want to change the oil thats up to me. I bought it.
