I can’t help you with your tire choice, but I am interested to know the weight of the original 20s compared to the new HPD 18” rims. Did you happen to weigh your original rims?
The black 5-spoke 20” original wheel from my Elite PP was 34 lbs 11 oz without stems or TPMS, but with some balancing weights still attached.

Ridgeline HPD wheels and 265/60/18 tires along with a Traxda 2 inch lift! Drives like a dream!! View attachment 15790
Wow, that combo looks great! Nicely done! So much better than stock. I like the HPD wheels. I posted my new wheels and tires in a different thread, but forgot to add them to this thread. So, here they are. I just went with 245/60-18 tires on the Passport HPD wheels.

Yours looks great! I love the new look and it rides so much better on 18"s. The factory 20's are like hockey pucks! I spent months looking at wheels. Very happy with this set up. The 2 inch lift is just what it needed!!

Hi. Looks awesome with the 18 HPDs! Did you lift you passport at all? I just got a 2022 passport and have the stock 20s on them but would like to put AT tires on as I go to the MTNs A lot. It looks like the 245/60r18s might be the ticket. let me know. Henry

Yes 2 inch Traxda lift front and rear. Tires do rub a little bit on hard lock. It doesn't bother me though, most noticeable when backing out and turning. Good luck you won't regret it!!

This may have been answered somewhere else in here but I'm picking up a 2021 PP Sport and want to immediately swap out the 20s for the HPD 18s in bronze (car is black and the bronze will look cherry). Will stick to the OEM tire size of 245/60R18 but my question is there any electronic adjustments that need to be made on the vehicle when sizing down like this?

This forum is awesome and I really appreciate everyone's contributions...thanks!

The Passport does not have any means of doing an electronic adjustment to the speedometer reading, however, if you are sticking to the OEM tire size for either 18' or 20' rims/tires, your reading will remain correct so no adjustment is needed.

Ditto what fx_chip said. I swapped out my OEM 20s for the 18" HPDs and have zero regrets. I much prefer the ride, protection, look, and greater number of tire choices provided by the 18s.

I'm interested in the traxda 2" lift as well...what's your total ground clearance now? Did you install or have someone else install? If you mind me mind asking what did the labor set you back? Trying to figure out where I would take it to get it installed. Thanks and really handsome ride!

For those with oversized tires, do you know what the method will be to correct the speedo reading? I can't remember if its the audi or mirage forum but one of my other vehicles apparently has a way to set the tire diameter which would correct the speedo reading.

As far as the Passport is concerned the only way to get the correct speedo reading is to do a mental calculation after the site below has show you by how much you are off, Honda did not make provisions for changing tire sizes in the Passport's settings.

You enter the size of your OEM tires and the size of the new tires you mounted and the site calculates the error number, then it's up to you to keep that in mind while driving. Attached is a picture of my own comparison and error reading after we swapped out the 265/45R20 for 265/60R18 in our 2020 Passport Touring. Basically as long as we stay at least 5 mph under the speed limit we are in the clear.

^ Thanks for that.

While the speed limit is definitely an issue, I'm more concerned on tracking the vehicle mileage. Looks like I wont deviate from the stock specs after all.

So, I finally have my new factory HPD 18 inch wheels in hand (weighed in at 29 lbs 11 oz w/o TPMS or valve stems on my Park Tool bike scale). I‘m going to stick with 245/60-18 tires and I’ve narrowed my options to either the Michelin Defender LTX M/S or Falken Trail ATs (for reference, I have Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws on my 4Runner). I live in San Diego, so weather is irrelevant and both tires can fully meet my needs. I suspect the Michelin will be quieter, last longer, and perhaps offer slightly better mpg. The Falken subjectively looks better, is superior off road, and most importantly is wider thus offering better rim protection (I love my wife, but she curb parks by Braille). It’s a tough call. For those of you with relevant tire perspective, I’d welcome your input. For those of you who have gone from OEM to all terrain tires, did you see any change in mpg? FWIW, Falken is about 4 lbs heavier, but does present a softer more aggressive tread pattern. Thanks in advance for any thoughts on the two tire options posed above.
Just read the entire thread again - really liking the HPD's - my ? is
What do you do with the old wheels - What is best way to sell or exchange and what do you get for the original rims??
Thanks

Ok, that brings up a question. If you lifted to fit bigger tires, then how and why are you still getting a rub? The whole point of a lift, IMO, is to properly fit new bigger tires (from OEM PP), raise ground clearance and level the vehicle.

Would you recommend going down a size in diameter to avoid any rub?

Hi Greg, I listed my 20” OEM wheels for sale on this forum and the Pilot forum. Someone here had a friend who wanted them for his Pilot. I sold all 4 in very good condition for $300. Lance

After reading across multiple forums, I went with 255/60/18 size tire , bec this size does not rub and don't want any problems when I run snow chains, then went with a set of Nomad Grippler. Just trying something different from my Ko2 and these gripplers were made in the USA 🇺🇸 👍.
