I agree they are dim. When drinking from a bottle while driving at night and trying to replace in the cup holder, these lights did not help.

I’m just curious as a not yet owner. Do these dim with the dash lights? Current vehicle does that and my cup holders are dim for that reason
Good question...I’ll check that setting tomorrow morning if I can remember.

When you get to be my age one doesn’t remember. I now use my phone to remind me for a lot of stuff!

Yeah, they're not very bright. My friends Honda Odyssey has VERY nice ambient lighting. Much brighter and a really nice shade of blue.

I could only figure out how to make the touch screen brighten and dim. Do the dash lights also brighten and dim?

And I’ve seen one of my stagehand conworkers wirh a crappy Ford Fiesta or something that had better cup holder and door trim lights!
I agree with everyone's comments. We have the touring which came with the cup holder lighting and the footwell ambient lighting and all I'll say is that I'm glad I didn't pay for either one as an accessory. We added the footwell lighting on our 17 CRV and as SoundsGood mentions above, those are a blueish LED light that is bright enough to see things when you drop something at night. The white lighting in my PP might as well not even be there. I don't mind that it's all white instead of blue but it's too dim.
If someone here were to ask the parts guy at a Honda dealer where Honda gets this stuff, we might be surprised. Not always do brands viewed as highly as Honda seek out the best suppliers for features like this. often its meant to be good enough and not exceptionally great.

Found the dash dimming adjustment this morning - no change to the cup holders.
Dave G - we have footwell lighting? Have to really look for this!
I saw NO lighting around the footwell. So glad I didn't pay extra $ for these little features!
If it’s any consolation, my wife’s expensive luxury car’s ambient lighting isn’t materially better.
In another thread there is a post about a DIY mod to the footwell lighting cover to brighten them up significantly. Involves drilling a hole in the thick, dark plastic cover that currently dims the footwell lighting. Includes a link to a how-to Youtube video.
